Banner Fence Angle

The banner is finished!  Yippee!  Here it is, all ready for Thanksgiving.  Now I can think about the menu 🙂  The banner says “g – r – a – t – e – f – u – l” and Jeanie guessed it yesterday.  Good job Jeanie!

Banner Fireplace cu2The banner is made with the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, and it was pretty easy to make!  The background on the pennants and the letters are made from stencils which come included with the kit.  I simply sponged on the ink with sponge daubers over the stencils.  It was very neat and clean compared to spritzing on the ink, which you can do.  But I always go for the least messy version!!

Below is the banner hung out on my fence, to give you a different view.  Each pennant is different, but they all have a Tea Lace Doily.  The “g” for example has a flag cut from the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper.  On several of the pennants there are leaves cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (love this die!).  I also made several rosettes, some are on the pennants and some are hanging between them.

Banner FenceRibbons and burlap hang between the pennants.   I’m so excited the way my banner turned out!  I wanted it to be kind of frilly and a bit vintage.  I’m so excited for my whole family to see it on Thanksgiving Day!

Build a BannerI really encourage you to make a banner.  With the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit it’s easy to make a basic banner.  Then you have time left over to embellish it to your heart’s content.

Have fun making your banner!!
