Floral Affection Sympathy

Sympathy angled flat

I never seem to have enough sympathy cards on hand.  I guess I prefer to make happy cards, so I’m always surprised when I need a sympathy card and I don’t have one.  So, I made one in advance this time 🙂

Sympathy angled L cu

For this card I started out with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ and embossed on the lower left with one of the Floral Affection embossing folders.  I angled the paper a bit in the folder to get the flowers where I wanted them.

The embossed areas were then colored with the fat side of a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker.  I then went back in with the pointed side of the marker to make some areas a little darker.  The Very Vanilla panel was then stamped with various stamps from Timeless Textures and a sentiment from Rose Wonder. Then a 1″ x 5-1/4″ Rich Razzleberry panel was adhered to the Vanilla panel and glued onto the front of a Crumb Cake card base.

Sympathy inside

The inside of the card uses another sentiment from the Rose Wonder set stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  Behind it is a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock punched with the same punch, cut in half and glued to the first piece.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Happy stamping!!
