Embossed Sympathy and Video!

Have you used Stampin’ Up!’s new Embossing Paste yet? Oh boy, I love it! It’s actually easy and quick with amazing results! Look at how much texture it adds to this sympathy card.

You use embossing paste with masks. A mask is like a stencil, lightweight plastic with holes in it in the form of a pattern. There are four different masks to use with the paste, and palette knives to use to spread the paste.

Here’s a video that shows how to use this fun new product:

After you use the embossing paste there’s not too much else you have to do with your card. Here I added a circle of Tranquil Tide card stock punched with the Starburst Punch. A bit of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon and Fresh Florals dsp give a nice background to the sentiment.

I’d love to hear what you think of the embossing paste. Have you ever used it? Since it’s new to me, maybe you can give me some more ideas! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Beautiful card, Peggy. How did you get the little touches of color on the embossing paste? Did you let it dry and then use a dauber?

    • Shari, I used a sponge dauber with ink on it while the stencil was still over the embossing paste. It was a bit wet but it took the ink just fine!😊
