This is a quick and easy Christmas card, just what you need at the last minute. And, it is really getting to be the last minute, isn’t it (aaargh!!)?
It only takes two papers (Whisper White card stock and Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper) and one ribbon (1/8″ Real Red Ribbon)…okay, that’s easy!
I used the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies to create the double-layered city and the star. These dies are so neat and detailed. Truthfully, they are ones I will keep for a very long time ~ I love them!
Bethlehem Edgelits Dies
Item No. 144676 $32.00
This card is so pretty. It depicts the truth about Christmas, the birth of Christ. And I’ve made lots of these cards to send to my personal friends and family 🙂
Are you ready? Have you sent out your cards yet? You still have time! And don’t forget our end-of-year special sales!
Thank you for stopping by today!
Welcome to the Pals December 2017 Blog Hop featuring “All that Sparkles and Shines”. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
Ooh, sparkle and shine, what a perfect December blog hop!! This is THE time for sparkle and shine, right? So, for my project today I created a card like a gift, all wrapped up with lots of bling!
For the background I used the gold and white plaid sheet from the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is super sparkly! Then I tied it up like a gift with ribbons and bling!
For the “bling” I used Silver Mini Tinsel Trim, Gold Mini Sequin Trim, and Mini Ornaments! Everything is tied up with Real Red Ribbon and “sealed” with a sweet little Boxwood Wreath!
Now this isn’t the type of card you would send in the mail. It’s a card that you would hand deliver, maybe even on top of a large gift! You could even wrap the gift in the same paper!!
After I finished my card it just seemed to call out to be placed on my Christmas tree as an ornament! So I tucked it in the branches, just above a white lace angel.
Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on January 10, 2018. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave me a comment!

Today’s card features the new Petal Palette Bundle, and I have to tell you I really really like it. It’s a bit too early to say it’s my favorite as I need to play with some of the other goodies, but I can tell you it’s going to be up there!
The leaves you see here were created with a super-neat die in the Petals & More Thiinlits Dies (part of the bundle with the stamp set). Look at those delicate tiny branches and leaves. I’ll be using these a lot. The sentiment was cut with a “frame” die that is also part of this set.
The ribbon here is the new Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon. It ties beautifully!
Are you excited? There is MUCH more to come and I can’t wait for you to see it all! Would you like a copy of the new Occasions Catalog? Just email me at [email protected] and I will get one out to you. If you are one of my customers, I’m sending a catalog out to you today!

I love pictures of red cardinals in the snow in the winter! It’s just something you see during the holidays…on cards and in photos. So I thought I might try to make my own red cardinal in the snow card!
To create the snow background I used the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It totally looks like snow, don’t you think? And to create more of a snowy effect, I used dies from two different sets. The swirls (snow swirls!) are from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies, and the large snowflakes themselves are from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies.
Now for the adorable little red (umm) cardinal. I know this bird isn’t really a cardinal, but he’s just SO cute!! And I don’t have a cardinal stamp, I have two cute birds from the Oh So Happy Stamp Set. So one of them just had to become a cardinal! I colored him with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends (and his beak and feet were colored with Daffodil Delight Blends!).
Don’t forget about the discounted and retiring items that are part of the Year-End Sales Event!
The Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies were used to make the snowflakes on today’s card, and they are retiring on December 30th. They have been my favorite dies from the Holiday Catalog! Here are some projects I’ve made using these great dies:
Be sure to scoop these up before they retire! Click on the photo below to go to my online store!
Thanks for stopping by today! Leave me a comment, I’d love to hear what you think of the cardinal in the snow card 🙂
