Stampin' Up! Year of Cheer - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Ooh, sparkle and shine, what a perfect December blog hop!! This is THE time for sparkle and shine, right?  So, for my project today I created a card like a gift, all wrapped up with lots of bling!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

For the background I used the gold and white plaid sheet from the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is super sparkly! Then I tied it up like a gift with ribbons and bling!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card Prettypapercards - Peggy Noe - stampinup

For the “bling” I used Silver Mini Tinsel Trim, Gold Mini Sequin Trim, and Mini Ornaments! Everything is tied up with Real Red Ribbon and “sealed” with a sweet little Boxwood Wreath!

Now this isn’t the type of card you would send in the mail. It’s a card that you would hand deliver, maybe even on top of a large gift! You could even wrap the gift in the same paper!!

After I finished my card it just seemed to call out to be placed on my Christmas tree as an ornament! So I tucked it in the branches, just above a white lace angel.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

Stampin' Up! 1 Lovely Words Friend Card - Paggy Noe - stampinup

My card today is a fun tri-fold card disguised as a regular card!

Stampin' Up! 2 Lovely Words - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Who would know that this card unfolds with two more layers?

Stampin' Up! 3 Lovely Words Friend Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The card opens to reveal an inside full of pretty pumpkins from the beautiful Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! 4 Painted Harvest Lovely Words - Peggy Noe - stampinup

This pumpkin panel lifts up to reveal the third section of the card.

Stampin' Up! 5 Lovely Words Painted Harvest - Peggy Noe - stampinup

For the inside, I used the die-cut circle from the front of the card and affixed a banner with a nice sentiment from the Basket of Wishes stamp set. This is a fun fold and it’s a little surprise for the one who opens it!

Stampin' Up! 6 Lovely Words Painted Harvest - Peggy Noe - stampinup

I have a template for you so that you can make this same card. It’s super easy! Start with an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. The “X” below shows you the section you cut out. The dotted lines represent the places you will fold. Each section is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2.” Easy, right?

My Favorite Holiday ~ Pals Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Pals September 2017 Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month our theme is “My Favorite Holiday”.  Sit back and enjoy the view while the Pals treat you with projects for the upcoming Autumn and Winter holidays.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Layers Thinlits Hello Fall Card - Peggy Noe - stampin up

My favorite holiday is … Fall. I know, it’s not “really” a holiday, but for me it is! I LOVE Fall. Here in San Diego County only a native can find Fall. We have quite a long late summer, most of our Fall days are really late summer days. It can be 80 or 90 degrees all the way through October. So when we do have a true Fall day here (coolish weather with a few leaves floating around), it’s a really big deal! It can be 69 degrees and we will all start up our fireplaces!!! It’s a holiday!

So today I made for you a true Fall card! I used a fun technique with Embossing Paste and have a little photo tutorial for you. The purple leaves on this card were made with Embossing Paste and then watercolored lightly with Fresh Fig ink using an Aqua Painter. Here’s how it’s done:

Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste Tutorial - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The stencil for the paste was created using a leaf die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, but you can use any die or punch to create a stencil! It’s a fun technique!

Here’s a close up of a finished leaf. It almost looks sparkly or sugary, doesn’t it? After I made the leaves on the card, I splattered the card with the same Fresh Fig ink and Aqua Painter (tap against a bone folder). The sunflowers were fussy cut from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. This paper is so beautiful, seriously. It’s one of my all-time favorites 🙂

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Hello Fall - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The sentiment used is from the Merry Cafe stamp set, and it expresses just how I feel! I also added a bit of Metallic Thread for bling! We have to have bling, right???

Pick a “B” Pals Blog Hop!

Welcome to the June 2017 Pals Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month’s theme, Pick a “B,” features projects inspired by Babies, Birthdays and Brides to name few. You may just get a glimpse of new catalog products while you hop with us today.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

The “B” in my card today is BIRTHDAY!! We always need birthday cards, don’t we, so this is a great “B” to choose. This sweet little “happy birthday” sentiment is from one of my new favorite stamp sets called Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I mean, even the name of the stamp set makes you want it, right? 🙂

Today I’m using the Petal Garden Memories & More Card Pack. This pack contains lots of individual cards with designs on the front and the back. This is a 3″ x 4″ card with a wreath on it and a light flower pattern on the edges.

I angled this card on top of a panel of Berry Burst card stock which was embossed with the new – and darling – Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

A few die-cut leaves, a little wooden element, and a pretty ribbon finish off the card. The color theme for my card is from pages 56 and 57 of our annual catalog: Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive. I’m crazy about this combination!

Thanks again for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on July 12th. We’re having a pattern party! Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. See you on July 12th for the next Pals Blog Hop!

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Blog Hop for May 2017. This month our theme is “Sneak Peek”.  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Prettypapercards, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Peggy Noe.

Today’s card is a sneak peek of the new set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous. This stamp set has 32 stamps and many of them are sentiments in adorable fonts. That’s one thing I look for in a stamp set ~ good sentiments. When you need a card, the main thing is the right sentiment. Once you have that you can coordinate all the rest of the card around that sentiment.

And the best stamp sets are those with both fabulous sentiments AND pretty things to go with them! Look at these sweet flowers and pods and leaves! They are darling and just what I needed to make this card.

Pretty Pointer: The clear dots that look like pearls are really dots of glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Just put a tiny “bubble” of glue on your card (and in this case, several bubbles!) and set it aside to dry. It’s a great way to create your own embellishments!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are at my blog – Peggy Noe, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.

The Remarkable Inkbig Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Blog Hop for March 2017. This month our theme is “Sale-A-Bration”.  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Pretty Paper Cards,  or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Peggy Noe at Pretty Paper Cards.

I’m so happy to be taking part in today’s blog hop!  To celebrate our theme, my card today has LOTS of Sale-a-Bration items!  Just for fun I tried to get in as many as I could.  Can you spot them all?

Well, the flowers are from the Avant Garden stamp set.  I stamped three on the Whisper White panel, and then stamped four on another sheet and fussy cut them out to adhere on top of the other flowers.

I gave the flowers little stamen centers using the Botanical Builders Framelits and Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper.  I had to get in the fabulous Glimmer Paper!

The lace at the top is stamped from the Delicate Details stamp set.  Don’t you just love lace?  I do, and I love that I can add it anywhere on my card using the stamps in this set!

The happy birthday banner is from the Any Occasion stamp set.  This set is totally fun!  You get the “clothes line” stamp with lots of words and phrases  to hang on the clothes line 🙂

So, I count four different Sale-a-Bration items, what about you?  Did you catch them all?  Which items do you already have?  Remember, these Sale-a-Bration items are only available through March 31st, so get them while you can!!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog, Pretty Paper Cards, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.
