It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge, and today’s card has a fall theme. I really do love fall, and I love to use fall colors. That’s why I chose the first row across in the challenge! Here’s this week’s board:
Sentiment – check; Fall Colors – check; Twine – check 🙂 And, I added a few leaves from Row 2 just for fun!
Leaves have so many shades. To get leaves to look at all realistic I like to watercolor and combine colors. For the leaves here, I used Crushed Curry and Peekaboo Peach inks with an Aqua Painter on Shimmery White paper. After the water dried I splattered the paper with Fresh Fig ink. Then the leaves were punched with the Leaf Punch.
The sentiment is cut from Cajun Craze card stock using the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies. It sits on a piece of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (love, love!). Underneath I tucked a strip of Fresh Fig card stock punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. And tying it all up in a knot is a thin section of Jute Twine pulled apart from the larger piece of thread.
Why don’t you join us over at Tic Tac Toe Challenges? CLICK HERE to pop over there and see what the other designers have done…AND, enter your creation! I’ll see you there!

Say hello to a world of colorful creativity with Stampin’ Up!’s® premier alcohol markers, Stampin’ BlendsTM! These high-quality, dual-tip markers come in 12 exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, each with a light and dark shade. Not an artist? You are now! These markers make it so easy to blend colors and create lovely works of art.
These are FABULOUS! I’ve been personally using them for almost a month and I love them! I have to admit that I don’t know as much as I want to about alcohol markers, but what I do know is that they are wonderful for coloring and blending! This is a fun new stamp set called Color Me Happy. It’s been designed especially for use with the new Stampin’ Blends.
Sometimes I start using a stamp set and the more I use it the more I love it. That’s what’s happened with this Count My Blessings set. I’ve been using it and it’s fabulous! I love the big font and the pretty flowers!
I mean, really, look at those gorgeous flowers! Maybe some of you know this type of flower, I’d sure like to know. For this card I stamped the flowers on vellum with Mememto Ink, and then I colored the back side of the vellum with the new Stampin’ Blends (available November 1st). Coloring the back of the vellum gives a softer look to the color.
Count My Blessings Clear-Mount Stamp Set Item No. 144790
The flowers were then placed over a piece of Shimmery White paper which had been watercolored with Melon Mambo ink and given a splatter of Melon Mambo ink all over.
I promise you will love this stamp set too! And as my special gift to you, if you order this set during the month of October I will email you three (3) FREE tutorials of cards designed by me using this set! CLICK HERE to place your order for this great set!
