Pretty Sour Cream Container and Video!

Sour cream containers are such great treat holders, and they are so easy to make! Today I have a video tutorial to show you just how easy they are!

For this project I’ve used the gorgeous Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. These papers come in a 6 x 6 size, which is perfect for the sour cream containers, and isn’t each paper pattern beautiful?

Delicate ribbons and lace tie the openings of the containers together until you are ready to open them and eat the yummy treats. I imagine these being served at a lovely English tea and they would have nuts in them 🙂

Here’s the video tutorial for you with step-by-step instructions:

My goal is to make more videos for you and share some of my techniques. I’d love to hear your comments! Please COMMENT HERE to let me know what you think of today’s video.

August Pals Blog Hop: Cut it Out!

Welcome to the August 2017 Pals Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month we’re going to “Cut It Out”. Participants will feature projects with “cuts” from punches, dies, Framelits, Edgelits, or Thinlits.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

My card today uses both a punch and thinlits. Can you spot both? Well, the word “hugs” is cut with the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies. I just love the words on these dies, especially the one I’ve used today. “Hugs” is such a sweet sentiment for so many occasions. I’m going to send this card to a friend who hasn’t been feeling well, and it really expresses my thoughts for her.

Have you spotted the punched pieces? They are on the left and right sides of the card. That pretty lace is actually card stock punched with the Decorative Label Punch. This punch is fabulous because you can add these pretty little lacy bits anywhere on your card!

I have another “cut” to show you, and that’s the flower on the envelope! Using my Paper Snips, I cut one flower out of a piece of this gorgeous Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. I glued it onto the envelope with a little Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue. I love to give a preview of my card on the outside of the envelope!

To see all the items used on this card, scroll down to the bottom of this post where each item is listed. You can click on any item to go to my online store and learn more!

Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on September 13, 2017 for “My Favorite Season”. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Don’t forget to leave me a comment HERE. I’d love to hear what you have to say about my creative “Cuts”.

The Absolutely Cutest Rose Stamp Ever!!

Oh dear. Every time I get a new stamp set it becomes my favorite!! Does that happen to you? The Happiest of Days stamp set is now my favorite 🙂 I mean, look at these great fonts! And what about the absolutely cutest single rose stamp ever?

Here the rose is stamped with the Basic Black Archival Ink, and then colored in using a Blender Pen and Flirty Flamingo Ink. The green here is the subtle Pear Pizzaz. And the background piece is Powder Pink cardstock. These colors blend beautifully together.

Here is a photo of the complete stamp set. I haven’t used the cake or the little package stamps yet, but aren’t they the cutest?  I’ll be getting to those very soon!

Happiest of Days Clear Mount Stamp Set
Item No. 143796

Pretty Pointer: When you have a special image or a favorite image, raise it up by using a Stampin’ Dimensional. This adds interest and gives depth to your card front.

In the photo below you see that I first stamped the left side of the card with the single rose stamp. Then for emphasis (and because this is the absolute cutest rose stamp ever!) I stamped another rose on a separate sheet of cardstock, cut it out by hand, and affixed it right over the previously stamped image using a dimensional. Then I put a sweet little pearl in the center.

I’d love to hear what you think of today’s card…I LOVE your comments 🙂 CLICK HERE to leave me a comment today!

And don’t forget the newest feature on my blog: all of the products used to make today’s card are shown at the bottom of this post. They are linked to my online store so you can just click on any product and it will go right to all the details about that product and you will be able to order right there!

Quick Card Week: 2 Super Easy Cards!

I’m still blown away by how much you can do with the Petal Garden Card Pack! I’ve got two different cards for you today, both made from this card pack.

This card was so much fun to make! The first layer on this card was a 4″ x 6″ Petal Garden one-sheet card cut to 5-1/4″ x 4.” The white circle and the wreath were already printed on the card piece!! The pretty purple flower in the center of the wreath is a sticker that comes with the card pack ~ yep, just stick it on! How easy is that? And the sentiment is preprinted on one of the smaller cards in the pack and cut to 1″ x 2-1/2.”

And here is the second card. Like with the first one, the base layer, the background design and the flower spring, are all printed on one of the cards in the card pack. I just cut it down as I did with the first card. The little frame and the sentiment are again…stickers! Yeah! This card literally took less than 10 minutes to make. And for the envelope I used another one of the pretty stickers in the pack.

One thing I haven’t told you…this whole card pack is only $10!! Do you believe it? Such an inexpensive and easy way to make lots of card!

And, don’t forget about my FREE SHIPPING offer, good until July 31st! Don’t miss this special offer from me, if you are or become one of my customers 🙂

Quick Card Week: Color Theory Card Pack-and Free Shipping!

Here’s another super quick card for you. All you need to make this card is the Color Theory Card Pack, the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack, and some Whisper White card stock! I like this card because it could be used for a guy, a girl, or anyone, and it’s simple!

How simple you ask? Well, you need the Whisper White card base. Then, using the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (beautiful 6″ x 6″ papers in this suite), chose one of the green ombre papers (where the color blends out from dark to light) and cut that to a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece.

The only thing left to do is put two of the smaller Color Theory cards at an angle, one on top of the other. Easy, right? And, done! I’m telling you, these card packs are amazing, they have so many uses!

And, don’t miss out on my FREE SHIPPING special
through July 31, 2017, only!

Quick Card Week: Petal Garden #1

We all want to make quick cards. You glance at your calendar and notice a friend’s birthday is tomorrow and you need a card pronto. What do you do? Well, I reach for the Petal Garden Memories & More Card Pack and quickly put together a pretty card!

I was really amazed by all that’s in this card pack. First of all you get 72 double-sided cards. These aren’t greeting cards, they are cards that you might pin on your bulletin board, or put in your planner. But I used them to create greeting cards. They are gorgeous and a snap to use! There are two sizes of cards, gold foil die cuts, AND, 2 sheets of stickers! I used the stickers on my envelopes!

I cut the cards to the length and width I wanted and adhered them to my greeting card. For today’s card a beautiful 4″ x 6″ card with a pattern that I liked was used as a background layer. Then I used a 3″ x 4″ card that has a nice sentiment and layered that on top.

I tied the smaller card with some gor-jus (really!) 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Flirty Flamingo. I am loving this ribbon!

I added a leaf die cut using the Rose Garden Thinlits and placed that on a bit of a Delicate White Doily. The card was finished off with a few Metallic Enamel Shapes, and that was it! Quick, right?

Over the next week I’m going to be showing cards made with this card kit. The possibilities are endless and you will be so surprised at how quickly you can put together a pretty card!

Don’t forget my FREE SHIPPING SPECIAL this week only!

The Fabulous Tab Punch!!

Why is it so fabulous? well just look at these tabs I punched out for my catalog! They are cute and they are just what I need to help me find things quickly in the catalog!

What else can you use the tab punch for? The photo above is from Stampin’ Up! and it shows a cute little pocket card with a tab that pulls the card out of the pocket! Is that darling or what?

For my tabs I chose cardstock colors I thought looked good together and with the catalog front and just started punching away! You can see that the tab has a small rectangular base that adheres to the page or paper. You simply punch, fold the punched tab in half, and adhere the front and back rectangular bases to the page or paper. It’s quick and easy! For my tabs I used Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere them to the catalog pages. Then I used a black felt-tip pen to write the words on the tabs.

This is a great punch to have in your collection as I know it’s going to be used a lot! For more details about the punch, just click on the photo above! And, it’s a great time to order the Tab Punch as it will count toward your Bonus Days Coupon!

JULY ONLY! For every $50 order in July, you receive a $5 coupon to use in August! Click below to start shopping!

Summer Watercolored Rose

Ok, I’ll just say it, I love roses! My front walkway is lined with roses, and right now they are blooming their little hearts out! We actually didn’t even plant the roses, they were here when we bought our house, and I couldn’t be happier 🙂

This stamp set is called Graceful Garden and it has the most beautiful rose stamps! For today’s card, the biggest rose in the set was first stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I took an Aqua Pen and lightly watercolored the rose and the leaves.

Pretty Pointer: Heat embossing the outline of a stamp confines water within the lines of the stamped image. Give this a try on your next watercolor project!

If you love beautiful flowers, this is definitely the set for you!
