Darling Lemon Lime Tags!

I’m really liking this new Lemon Lime Twist In Color. It’s so bright and fun — I just can’t stop using it!

Each month my local customers get handmade tags on their Stampin’ Up! bags. (My out-of-town customers get handmade thank you cards!) These are the tags I’m making for May! I would love for YOU to be my customer! Just place an order with me by CLICKING HERE. As soon as you place an order through me, you will become my customer and I will send you a personal handmade thank you card! (Please do not indicate “No Contact” or I won’t be able send you a card.)

The Scallop Tag Topper Punch I used on the top of these tags is one of my favorite punches. The scallops are so pretty and it automatically punches the little hole in the top of the tag! It’s a punch I’ll be keeping for a long time!

There’s a fabulous new stamp set in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and it’s called Crafting Forever. It’s perfect for crafters. I love the sentiment I used here on the tags…love the sentiment and love the curly font!

I’m not kidding, start making your Wish List  now if you haven’t already, because this new catalog has so many great new products!! Serious! Look at the gold scallops  across the top of the tag. That’s a sticker from the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers!! How easy is it to just put a sticker on a tag or card? 🙂

If you need a new Annual Catalog, just email me at peggy@prettypapercards.com and I’ll send one to you right away. It has so many samples and ideas for making great projects ~ you’ll love it!

Thanks for stopping by today! Your comments mean so much. Please let me know what you think of today’s tags!!

Sweet Little 3D Notebook!

3D swap flat down R

I’m seriously still on a high from the wonderful weekend at On Stage Atlanta!  I met so many wonderful people and had tons of fun!!

3D flat

Today I’m sharing with you my 3D project from World Cardmaking Day.  It’s a spiral bound notebook of 3 x 5 cards which I decorated on the front.  You know, it’s just fun to decorate something you might use for very ordinary purposes!  Here the sweet birdcage from the Badges & Banners set takes center stage.  Some butterflies punched from Gold Foil are flitting about 🙂

3D best

Watermelon Wonder Mini Striped Ribbon was folded at angles and glued down on the cover under the butterflies. Then some of the same ribbon was cut in half lengthwise to use along with some Very Vanilla Lace Trim as an embellishment on the spiral rings.  Two layers of washi tape line the bottom edge of the notebook.

3D swap cu L

The sentiment is from the classic Flourishing Phrases stamp set.  If you don’t have this set you really should get it.  It has so many great sentiments, not to mention flowers and flourishes!!  This little notebook is perfect, not only for notes, but because it’s filled with index cards it would work well for memorization cards.  It might be a good stocking stuffer for a student!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I so appreciate all of you 🙂

Christmas Ornament?

Friend Hanger flat RI know, this doesn’t look like a regular Christmas ornament.  And, maybe it’s just a cute little thing to hang on a hook.  This is one of those things that you start and it keeps morphing as you go 🙂  I kept adding more and having fun, and I kind of like how it came out!

Friend Hanged flat

I started with some kraft paper that I embossed with a flower stamp from the set Awesomely Artistic.  White embossing on kraft paper looks so good!  Then I just started layering pretty things!

Friend Hanger L

Some of the things I layered first were:  (1) a light pink sheet of Fruit Stand dsp; (2) Touches of Texture stamped on Shimmery White that was first watercolored with a light wash of Emerald Envy and then punched with a circle punch; and (3) a delicate white doily.

Friend Hanger cu R

Some die cuts were added, and I gathered up some lace and adhered it with some copper spotted washi. Then I backed the whole thing with a layer of emerald envy card stock and another layer of Mint Macaron card stock.  Some holes were punched in the top left and right corners, and I added a loop of twine from my garage!

Friend Hanger standingSo, what do you think:  is it a Christmas ornament or a little thing to hang on a hook?  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!  Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Quick Christmas Tag or Ornament!

TU Star 2

Thank you, dear blog readers!  Thank you for stopping by today ~ and thank you for your love for stamping!  It’s my pleasure to come to you several times each week with some fun stamping ideas!

This tag could also be an ornament, and it’s really a SNAP to make.  It’s the tag my customers all received on their orders this month 🙂

TU Star cu

To make this tag, just cut out a large star using the Stars Collection Framelit Dies and the card stock color of your choice.  I used Cherry Cobbler.  Choose your sentiment stamp (I used Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set).  Stamp it on the card stock using Versamark Ink and heat emboss it with White Embossing Powder.  Punch a hole at the top of your star and run baker’s twine (I used the Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine)  through the hole.  Poof, you’re done!

TU Star 1

Do you need some gift tags?  Do you need a few small last minute gifts?  Pop some of these out right away.  You could use almost any shape of framelits, circles, squares, etc.  Add a sentiment, heat emboss it, and you’re done!  Keep checking back as I’ll be giving you last minute holiday hints ~ as I myself need them!  Ha!

FYI, this week’s WEEKLY DEALS ARE GREAT!

Merry, Merry!

Merry Ornament 1So I’m really thinking about Christmas.  As paper crafters we have to prepare early, don’t we?  At our card class last weekend we focused on gift tags so that we could get a bit ahead of the game.  This is one of the tags we made.   It’s an easy gift tag that you can make fast, and it’s so pretty!  It’s created with Real Red card stock and the largest of the Apothecary Accents Dies.  It’s a nice large size for a tag, no one is going to miss it.

Merry Ornament 2

The Seasonally Scattered stamp set has three great large stamps.  This “merry” stamp was embossed with Silver Embossing Powder and embellished with our Frosted Sequins.  Done.  Easy.

Now, for a photo of my new merry Christmas mug…

New SB mug

Don’t you love it ~ pretty gold dots on cream ceramic!  L O V E !!  It’s a little treat for myself for the holidays, and you know I’m going to be using it 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today.  Now grab a cup of coffee and make a few tags!!

Thankful Bookmarks!

BibleStudybookmarks3

For the past 9 weeks I’ve been hosting a study in my home on thankfulness and how being thankful can change your life!  Some friends and I have been reading a book called “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp.  It’s a great book and we’ve really enjoyed it.  We are having our final class today and I wanted to make them something special as a reminder of our time together!  What else?  Bookmarks!!

321910

Here’s a picture of the book cover.  I wanted the bookmarks to remind us of our study.  Right away I thought of the cute Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Take Care.  It has a little bird nest and three little eggs, just like the book cover.  What do you think?

Biblestudybookmarkcu

It’s so much fun to make special things for our friends.  That’s one thing I really love about Stampin’ Up! ~ well, among other things ~ that it gives me gorgeous products and I can use them to make pretty things to give away 🙂

Have you read this book?  I’d sure like to know.  It’s a life-changing book.  If you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Snowmen Tags!

SnowmenTags1

Have you started wrapping Christmas gifts yet?  I haven’t, but I bet some of you have!  I don’t know about you, but I always need lots of tags.  And, it’s good to have a variety of tags:  fun tags, pretty tags, simple tags…  Today’s tags fall into the category of fun, cute tags.  We have a pair of happy hedgehogs, and a happy snowman.  Both are adorable!

Truthfully, I like the hedgehogs the best.  It looks like there is a guy hedgehog and a girl hedgehog and they are both smiling!!  So cute!  For this tag, I added the Be Very Merry stamp underneath.   There is plenty of room on the circle and it seems like an appropriate sentiment to go with these little guys 🙂

HedgehogsTagFor the snowman tag, I also used the to/from stamp from the Stamp a Tag Kit.  It’s a cute little stamp and is meant specifically for Christmas tags.  It’s perfect!

Let it Snow!

SnowplantSo much of the country is having snow and bad weather right now, this tag seems just right.  Even here in San Diego we are having cold weather (for us) and rain.  I hope you are ok wherever you are.

Snow1

Maybe this pretty Christmas tag will give you some crafty ideas for the weekend!  This is the new Best of Snow stamp set and this is just one of the four darling stamps in the set.  The base of the tag is Whisper White card stock with some Winter Frost Designer Series Paper on top.  This makes it more sturdy than just using the Designer Series Paper alone.  The Silver Glimmer Paper stars really make it sparkly!

Best of Snow – Item No. 134387

Best of Snow

I want to show you my kitchen chalkboard.  I’ve had the chalkboard a while and had written a simple saying on it, but wanted to try something more fancy, especially for Christmas.  So I looked at some samples on Pinterest (what else?) and gave it a try.

Christmas ChalkboardHave a great weekend and do some crafting!

Pretty Gold Snowflake Tag!

GoldTag2

Need a pretty tag for a special winter gift?  This tag would be perfect!  It would be beautiful on a Christmas gift or maybe a birthday gift or even a hostess gift.  Gold is so elegant at this time of year.

GoldTagcu I used the Snowflake Soire stamp set and inked the stamps with the Gold Metallic Encore Ink Pad.  I stamped the snowflakes on the tag and also on some Very Vanilla card stock and then used the Pansy Punch to punch the flower.  In the center I added an Itty Bitty Butterfly in Gold Foil with a pearl.  Ooh…  A little bit of a Lace Doily was tucked under the flower.  And for extra sparkle, Smooch Spritz was sprayed on the whole tag.

Have you started making some gift tags?  Over the next few days I’ll be featuring some tags I’m creating for my card classes this weekend, so stop back by for ideas for YOUR tags!
