Spring Has Sprung Pals Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for March 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring spring or spring-related projects. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the lineup on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all the projects.

My project today is a spring birthday card in a pretty glassine envelope!  Stampin’ Up! glassine bags made fabulous envelopes for cards!

The card just pulls out of the envelope easily.  For this card I made a little topper of lace doilies by cutting the doilies in half and adhering them to the back of the card.

The card itself has several layers that open up to reveal the sentiment 🙂  Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate with a sheet of Vellum underneath are attached to the card at the top using my favorite washi tape (the copper dotted tape from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape).

When you lift the layers up you find the pretty birthday wish from the Big on Birthdays stamp set!  I made this card for a dear friend who has a birthday later this month.  I’m going to write a little note there in the center of the page 🙂

You’ll noticed that I used about as much glimmer paper as I could!  I love it, and right now (until March 31st) you can get this beautiful glimmer paper FREE during Sale-a-Bration! (See below!)

Layers, layers and more layers make this glassine envelope really pop!  I hope you’ll try these glassine bags for envelopes.  Of course, you have to personally deliver a card with this type of envelope, but you know the person who receives it will be blown away!!

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Blackberry Bliss Blossoms!

BB loved 2

This is one of my favorite color combinations…Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron, I love it!!  Remember, the current 2014-2016 In Colors are only available until May 31, 2016.  After that they are discontinued, and that includes Blackberry Bliss!  If you like, or maybe LOVE this color, be sure to stock up now.

And, I admit it, I’m still playing with the Grateful Bunch stamp set and coordinating punch.  I just can’t put them down 🙂  We made this card at my stamp classes over the weekend.  I’ve used almost every stamp in the set on this card.  Each one is so pretty!  Ok, I love the lace border stamp (love).  And the butterfly stamp, I think it’s the most realistic and detailed butterfly stamp I’ve seen.

I used this sentiment because it’s sweet and would be a good sentiment for a Mother’s Day card, or any card for that matter.  The font is so cute and fresh 🙂

Beautiful Butterfly!

Pretty Butterfly 2

Look at that lacy butterfly!  Isn’t it darling?  Today’s card features the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I’ve had it for awhile but haven’t really used all the pretty stamps in the set.

Butterfly flower cu

Here’s a close up of the beautiful flower stamp (lily?  what do you think?).  I fussy cut the flower and the leaves so they would really stand out.  The fern leaves in the background were stamped off once before stamping on the kraft paper.  That helps them to be in the background, letting the flower really stand out.

Pretty Butterfly 1

If you don’t have this stamp set, you’ve got to order it!  Really, I think it’s one of the most beautiful sets Stampin’ Up! has.  The Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set is only $23.95.  This will be a classic, well worth getting now 🙂

Spring Tulips!

God Bless You 1

Been playing around with tulips.  They just say spring, and this card has a whole bouquet of them!  They are colored with various yellows and pinks and purples.  Doesn’t it just look like a beautiful garden?

God Bless Tulips

The tulips are from the little Love is Kindness stamp.  You can just see a real garden of tulips with a butterfly hovering over them, can’t you?

God Bless Butterfly

I’m thinking of those of you back East.  Tulips will be coming up soon back there.  Out here in California we have to put bulbs in the freezer and then take them out later and plant them in the ground to get such beautiful flowers.

God Bless You 2God bless you today, and thanks for stopping by!!
