Hearts of Gold!

Love R

What a clean and simple Valentine!  I made this when a few of us got together and my friend Linda brought this as a make and take.  I fell in love!  🙂

Love standing L

It’s not hard to make.  The word “love” is die cut from Gold Foil using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  It is attached to the Whisper White panel using Dimensionals.

Three different heart stamps from various sets were heat embossed in gold, as was the tiny word “you.”

Copper Foil ~ it’s gorgeous and rich and shiny.  So Fall.  And, perfect for Fall leaves!  Fall doesn’t officially start until Thursday, but I’m so ready.  Here in San Diego County it’s been gently raining ~ this rarely happens!  So I’m really in a Fall mood!

Leaves cu 2

For today’s card, I cut the leaves from the Copper Foil using the Flourish Thinlits, and scattered them around on the card.  The flowers were stamped on the card using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.

Lace and Copper Wreath!

Copper Wreath angled L with ink

Hi there stampers!  I hope you’re having a nice long weekend!  I’m organizing my stamp room and….stamping!  I’ve been playing with some copper:  copper thread, copper embossing powder, copper dots on special paper!

Copper wreath standing

It’s hard to capture in photographs the pretty sparkliness of the copper embossing.  It’s different, not gold, not silver, but richer.  I’ve also used a bit of copper thread.

Copper Wreath angled L 2

Do you see the darling little pinecones hanging from the bow?  They actually look like copper and go perfectly with the wreath.  The background paper is a gorgeous sheet of little copper dots on a heavy vanilla designer series paper.  It’s one of the selections in the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Copper wreath straight with ink

The leaves were stamped on watercolor paper which was watercolored with both Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon ink and my Aqua Painter.  Then they were cut out with the Paisley Framelits,

Floral Affection Sympathy

Sympathy angled flat

I never seem to have enough sympathy cards on hand.  I guess I prefer to make happy cards, so I’m always surprised when I need a sympathy card and I don’t have one.  So, I made one in advance this time 🙂

Sympathy angled L cu

For this card I started out with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ and embossed on the lower left with one of the Floral Affection embossing folders.  I angled the paper a bit in the folder to get the flowers where I wanted them.

Sympathy angled R

The embossed areas were then colored with the fat side of a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker.  I then went back in with the pointed side of the marker to make some areas a little darker.  The Very Vanilla panel was then stamped with various stamps from Timeless Textures and a sentiment from Rose Wonder. Then a 1″ x 5-1/4″ Rich Razzleberry panel was adhered to the Vanilla panel and glued onto the front of a Crumb Cake card base.

Sympathy inside

The inside of the card uses another sentiment from the Rose Wonder set stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  Behind it is a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock punched with the same punch, cut in half and glued to the first piece.

Sparkly Glitter Bird!

Glitter Bird angled cu

Hi there!  So I’m enamored with the new Best Birds stamp set.  I can’t stop using it!  Today I used another one of the bird stamps, and I tried out the branch and the sweet little dogwood flowers.  They were all cut with the coordinating dies.

Glitter Bird 1The bird was stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored using an Aqua Pen.  I used a Stampin’ Write Marker in Cajun Craze to color the beak.

Glitter Bird cu bird

I tried a new technique on this card using glue and glitter.  I mixed a bit of Tombow Glue and water on top of a clear block using an Aqua Pen.  Then I flicked the mixture off the Aqua Pen by hitting it against my finger.  I think I did too much flicking…because when I covered the card with glitter and shook it off, there was SO much glitter!!  I meant for it to just be a nice sprinkling 🙂  Oops!!

Glitter Bird cu dogwoodI love the little blossoms.  I’m not sure what type of blossoms they were meant to be, but I’m thinking they are cherry blossoms!  What do you think?

All Is Calm Iridescent Card!

Woodland angled cu

Monochromatic cards are some of my favorites.  Usually for a monochromatic card to work it’s good to have variations of texture. Here the texture comes from the amazing Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Woodland Emb folder

I’ve seriously never seen an embossing folder that is itself such a spectacular picture.  These birch trees are so intricately designed!

Woodland cu

To add more texture, little tiny leaves were cut out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and scattered around in the trees!

Woodland 2

This card just makes itself.  It’s so easy to make and it looks rich and beautiful.  Want to make some quick and easy cards?  This is it!!

Sparkling Silent Night!

Gold 1

Black, white and gold, are three stylish colors for the holidays.  I love them together!  The focus of this card is the Snowflake Elements.  They’ve been embossed in gold for shimmer and shine!

Gold cu

Each wooden snowflake was pressed onto a Versamark Pad, covered with Gold Embossing Powder, and then heated with a heat gun.  Iced Rhinestone Embellishments top each snowflake for even more sparkle!

Gold Angled

The sentiment is from one of my favorite sets from the Holiday Catalog; Wonderland.  And the pretty paper is Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Golden Leaf ~ Beautiful Sneak Peek!

Believe 4

Gold, gold, gold!!  For this project I pulled out everything I had that was gold and used it on this card!  I’m still loving the new stamp set called Lighthearted Leaves, I just can’t stop using it!  I can’t wait for you to be able to order it on September 1st!

This time I used gold embossing powder to bring out all the beautiful details of this large leaf stamp.  Then I used the Leaflets Framelits Dies to cut it out to perfection.

Believe 5

This pretty gold and white paper is from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper available September 1st.  Oh my gosh these papers are gorgeous!  I embossed the “Believe” stamp right onto the dsp.

Believe 3

This is just the beginning of a beautiful gold season!  See everything I used on this card below (except the new Holiday Catalog items which aren’t available until—that’s right, September 1st!).
