Spring Daisy Delight Sneak Peek!!

Daisies are sweet flowers aren’t they?  Common and simple.  Most people like daisies, and it just seems right that we would have a new set of daisy stamps.  That’s the sneak peek I want to show you today 🙂

The first thing I wanted to stamp when I opened the set was a single daisy on a tall stem.  But as soon as I did that, I had to stamp more!!

Did you know that daisies are found everywhere on earth except Antarctica? No wonder they are loved by so many!  And they were named in the Old English “day’s eyes” because the flowers open at dawn!  (I did a little googling!)

Now there’s another sneak peek on this card and it’s the scallop die that I used to cut the paper at the top. This scallop die is in a new die set called Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The set has so many fun dies, but this one caught my eye.  I can tell you I’ll be using it a-lot!!

I’m so excited for June 2nd when the new catalog goes live!  I can’t wait for all of you to play with these fun goodies!!  Please know that I’ll be giving you many more sneak peeks between now and then so that you can start your wish list!

And speaking of flowers, I just have to show you the roses that are blooming in my garden!  We’ve had so much rain here in Southern California this year that everything is just exploding!  I wish I had some daisies too (maybe I should plant some!), but for now my roses are blooming like crazy!  I just brought a pretty bouquet into the house the other day!

You know that with a new catalog coming, lots of items from the current catalog are retiring, and some are up to 50% off!  Click HERE to see the good deals!

Oh Boy Oh Succulents!

These little beauties are just too much fun!  It’s amazing how card stock turns into flowers so quickly!

It all starts with the Succulent Framelit Dies.  You die cut the flower pieces and start sponging the edges…by the time you layer the pieces on top of each other you have a gorgeous little succulent!

Do you believe this one started with Pool Party card stock?  Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry ink morph it into something very real looking!  (You can see some of the Rich Razzleberry ink on my fingers!!)

They turned out so pretty that I had to make an arrangement!  I had a little tiny pail I’d been saving for I don’t know what, and I stuffed it with some moss and just set the succulents on top!  To make it permanent, I think I might stick the flowers to the moss with a hot glue gun…but that’s for another day.

You’ve got to try these!  I was a bit hesitant at first, but they go together super-fast, so give them a try!  And, right now you can get a special gift for your qualifying order.  Go for it 🙂

Oh, I almost forgot, during the month of March I’m giving away a little something extra, so be sure to take advantage of that too!  It’s a great time to get some Stampin’ Up!

Thanks for stopping by today!

And, I admit it, I’m still playing with the Grateful Bunch stamp set and coordinating punch.  I just can’t put them down 🙂  We made this card at my stamp classes over the weekend.  I’ve used almost every stamp in the set on this card.  Each one is so pretty!  Ok, I love the lace border stamp (love).  And the butterfly stamp, I think it’s the most realistic and detailed butterfly stamp I’ve seen.

BB loved angled

I used this sentiment because it’s sweet and would be a good sentiment for a Mother’s Day card, or any card for that matter.  The font is so cute and fresh 🙂

2016badge-watermelon

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are showcasing projects using Stampin’ Up! products featuring a theme from any of the following: Valentine’s Day; Thinking of You; Get Well; or Sympathy. All of these themes come “From the Heart.” We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Hop cu

Today I’m continuing “Pink Week” here on my blog, a week where every card is PINK (my favorite color)!  This card could be either a Valentine or a Thinking of You card, or even Birthday.

Hop angled

The Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper is my new favorite.  It has beautiful, beautiful patterns, and for this card I’ve used both sides of one of the papers.  I cut out one of the pretty flowers and raised it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals to give a 3-D effect.  The little bird is tucked in behind the flower, sitting on a gathered Tea Lace Doily.

Hop 1

Do you see the row of tiny hearts?  This darling stamp is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  I’ll be using this stamp a lot!  And, what do you think of the sparkly Pool Party Glitter Ribbon?  Daar-ling!!

A Rose is a Rose is a Rose…

PP cu

Do you ever try to make a card shown in the catalog?  I do 🙂  It’s called “case” or “casing,” and this care is cased from page 37 of the Occasions Catalog (click the catalog on the right to check it out!).  Mine turned out a little bit different, but I’m just crazy about it.

PP 1

Both the rose and the leaves are stamped in a 3-step process using 3 different stamps to create the multidimensional effect.  Doesn’t it look realistic?  It’s easier to do than I expected, and so much fun to see it come to life as you stamp another layer.  Here is a video which shows how it works:

Did you notice this is a photopolymer stamp set?  Think clear, see through, easy to do the 3-step process!

Picture Perfect Stamp Set (Item No. 140520)

Why don’t you try copying a card from the catalog?  It’s fun!

Flowers and Lace for a Birthday!

Flower 1

Do you have months on your calendar that have lots of birthdays?  I sure do.  So many of my friends have September and October birthdays…I’ve got to get busy here and get some cards ready!!

Flower cu

I’m loving this new Festive Flower Builder Punch.  You can do so much with it!  Here’s a great video on how to use this neat punch.

For this card I wanted to use black and Very Vanilla, with a Melon Mambo accent.  I really love pink and it makes me happy when I use it 🙂  Plus I love lace, so I put a few laces together with the Melon Mambo ribbon.  You can’t lose with lace and ribbon and flowers!

Flower 3

Do you have huge birthday months on your calendar?  I’d like to know, leave me a comment!
