Today is the FIRST Tic Tac Toe Challenge and I’m so excited you are here!! This is our debut challenge and it is a fun one. The tic tac toe board we are playing with is below. Each square is an element you can use when creating your card. Use any three elements/supplies on the board as long as the three elements you choose form a row, column or diagonal on the challenge board.
For my card today I used quite a few elements from the board. I’ll tell you about them below 🙂
The first element is heat embossing. I embossed the flamingo from the new Fabulous Flamingo stamp set using white embossing powder. I also embossed the sentiment in gold (another element). I have to say I love this sentiment and I am “tickled pink” about this whole stamp set!
The next element is stripes. I used a cute little stripe stamp from the new Tabs for Everything stamp set. And the stripes are set on a white (element) circle (element) and tied up with a bit of white baker’s twine (element). See how fun this challenge is? I just couldn’t help myself, I had to use as many of the elements as I could! When I look at the challenge board, my card makes the diagonals in both directions, the center vertical row and the top and bottom horizontal rows. You can tell I had fun 🙂
Why don’t you play with us? Just click the graphic above to go to the challenge website (tictactoechallenge.com) to enter your card! Who says sympathy cards have to be dark and dull? We want to encourage people and brighten their day, don’t we? Well this card will do just that.
The Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper is SO beautiful! I just want to use it for everything! For this card I put one sheet of 4″ x 5-1/4″ on my Whisper White card. Then I used a coordinating sheet of dsp, cut it the same size, and then tore it in half lengthwise from corner to corner and glued it on the base. These papers blend together so beautifully, don’t they?
A bit of a Tea Lace Doily, a trio of little flowers and a sentiment finish off this sweet card. Now, truthfully, you could use a birthday or get well or other sentiment on this card. It’s really a simple card to make.
Today I had a card class and we made this card. Some of the stampers suggested making several of these cards without a sentiment, and then when you need it, just pull out a card and attach the appropriate greeting! Great idea!

Today’s card was made for a friend who is going through a hard time. I wanted to make her a pretty card with encouraging words. This stamp is one of my favorite Scriptures, and appropriate for difficult situations. The stamp set is called Trust God and has 7 great stamps!
I wanted to use lots of pretty things for this card, so I started with the gorgeous En Francais stamp as a background. Squares Collection Framelits were used to create the polaroid-look frame and the Apothecary Accents Framelits were used for the shapes inside the frame.
The Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride card stock add a feminine touch to this card. The Subtles Candy Dots fill that space at the bottom of the frame and add a little bit of interest!
Thank you for stopping by today!
