Several of you have asked how to make this darling Chocolate Cozy I featured a few weeks ago. There are several goodies you could put in this little Cozy, but I chose chocolate because I LOVE chocolate! Tea bags also fit nicely in the pockets.
For this tutorial I’m using photos of the one made and given to me by my Pal Deb Simonis, so although I’ve taken the photos, she’s the creator!
Start with a 6″ x 6″ square of designer series paper.
Using your diagonal scoring plate, score at 2″ on two sides, and at 0″ and 1″ on two sides.
Set the square in front of you as you see below, and fold in the two sides that were scored at 4″.
Fold in the center with the folds toward each other.
Now fold the sides back at the 1″ score line so the pockets are on the outside.
Pull both the sides together, punch a hole at the top to run a ribbon through, and you’re almost done!
Decorate the outside of either or both pockets with little punched shapes and greetings for your situation.
These little Cozys can be used in lots of ways! Already I’ve heard of one girl who is making them for her co-workers, and another is making them for wedding favors – fun!
To do the scoring you will need two things:
The Simply Scored Scoring Scoring Tool (Item No. 122334)
The Diagonal Scoring Plate (Item No. 125586)
Have fun making these! I’d love to hear about your creations!
I too was intrigued with how you made this wonderful ‘cozy’…am printing out your directions and hope to make a few for convention gifts. TFS!!!!!!!
