So Stampin’ Up! has done it.  They’ve come out with a die for making roses.  My favorite flower.  I call my house Rose Cottage.  I love roses.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, are you kidding?

Yeah, yippee, hooray, yikes, wow, love, happy!!!  Need I say more?

These roses are fun to make!  You run the new die called “Spiral Flower Originals Die” through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and it cuts the paper in a snap. Then you simply roll the paper around a pencil or small pen and adhere with glue dots as you go along.  You could also use a hot glue gun, I’m going to try that next.  I’m new at it myself, so as I learn more I’ll let you know.   But I’m already crazy about the result.

Pretty Pointer:  Do you see how the roses have a little sparkle to them?  I sprayed them with Smooch Spritz (seems appropriate for Valentine’s Day!) which is a light liquid that leaves a pretty sparkle.  This adds an iridescence to the card.  I love the photo below with the sun shining right on the flowers.

The beautiful dry embossing on this card is from the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I’ve really loved this embossing folder and it’s only available for a few more days (through January 2nd).  I wanted to use it to remind you that if you want to get it, you should do it right away.  I’ve used it so much over the past six months, it’s become one of my all-time favorites.

Ellie in Del MarJust have to add a little picture of Elie!  We took her shopping in Del Mar yesterday and she wanted to play around in the flower beds.  I thought she looked so cute in there!!  She’s seven months old now and we have so much fun with her!

Thanks for stopping by Pretty Paper Cards today!
