Flowers and birthdays just go together, and this card is a perfect birthday card! Wouldn’t you love to receive it yourself? This was created with the wonderful Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating framelits.
In the center of each flower is a little sequin to give the flower bouquet just a bit of bling 🙂
Pretty Pointer: For the background of this card I used a fun new technique. I inked up one side of the inside of the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, opened up the Whisper White card base and put the front of the card inside of the folder. I closed the folder and pressed down firmly. When I took out the card, voila, a beautiful background on the front of the card! Love it!

This is a stunning card as it’s so elegant looking and the colors are so soft and rich looking. I’ll have to make one, hopefully as lovely as this.
Hi Peggy, I love this stamp/framelit set and have seen so many samples of cards made with it. However, your card is one of my favorites. I love how you created a perfect background with an embossing folder. This is definitely a keeper! Have a wonderful day.
Love it….this set is awesome. I know I’ll be using it a lot.
I so love that new background technique! I’m going to try it this afternoon on a few card fronts that I’ve been working on, it may be just what I need to balance everything all out!!
Oooo, My Peggy , that’s so pretty !
Just love all your work , and my swap card was BEAUITIFUL , thank you !!!!
Hugs frenchie ,
Good morning – what a beautiful post to see in my email when I turn on the computer this morning before beginning my day’s work. Awesome technique you have shared here. Now I wish the day was over so I could go play in my craft room and try it out. Thanks for sharing. Love it.
Such a bright and cheery card. The colors against the white are stunning. Love the Honey Comb background. One of my FAVE sentiments too! So pretty!
Thanks for sharing!
Pretty Card! Thanks for sharing
Absolutely blooming beautiful!
Peggy – a great idea with EBF. I haven’t tried it yet, but this card looks so nice with the inked EBF – I will be giving it a try soon.
I love this card. Your choice of colors is stunning. Thanks for the opportunity to win it!
This is beautiful. Nicest one I’ve seen using this set. Would love to receive this card.
I love the simplicity of this card. I’ll definitely try inking the embossing folder. Always like something new.
So delightful.
I love the background technique. What did you use to “ink up” the inside of the embossing folder? A brayer, a sponge? I’d like to get the same results, but am concerned I’ll have ink on the recessed areas and not just the raised areas.
Thanks Mardell! I just pressed the open Pink Pirouette ink pad down on the embossing folder. Don’t press too hard. It should come out just fine. Let me know!
When I saw this in the catty I have to admit that I was not impressed with it—that is until now. It is a show stopper! I absolutely love, love, love this card!!!
What a beautiful card! I love the colors and using the embossing folder without running it through the big shot!
I have not done much stamping lately but this beautiful card had given the push I need to get started again. Thank you for the inspiration.
I just love all the creative ways to use the Flower Patch set! Your card is stunning!
Just recently received this set. I am anxious to use it and this will
be the first thing I try. Beautiful card.
I am just getting back into stamping and would sure love to have that gorgeous piece of work to inspire me.
Thank you for a generous offer for one of us.
