Today I have for you a darling mini-magazine holder for cards!! It easily holds about five cards and envelopes. We made this project this weekend at my card classes and wow did we have fun!
To make the magazine holder I followed a wonderful video tutorial by Dawn Griffith. It takes one piece of 12″ x 12″ Kraft Cardstock to make the holder, and several pieces of designer series paper to cover the sides, front and back. You can find the pattern and all the dimensions over on her blog. Just click her name above and it will take you right there. I used polka dot paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack for the pieces that cover the sides, front and back.
To decorate the holder, I used some of the beautiful Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon (love!), and flowers punched with the Pansy Punch. FYI, I crumpled each of the flowers up tight in my hands, then unfolded them and pulled them each out with a bone folder. The lacy leaves were die cut using the Rose Wonder Thinlits Dies.
Isn’t this darling? It would make such a nice gift, maybe for a hostess… You could even use this little holder on your desk to hold blank envelopes! I wonder what you would use it for? Leave me a comment and let me know. I’d love more ideas!
