More gift card holders! We always need them, right? Today’s is a fancy version of one I made last week. It has a gorgeous Gold Foil Detailed Band to hold it closed, with a sentiment on top.
The gift card holder is made using the basic pattern in the video tutorial below:
For today’s project, use Night of Navy card stock for the base and Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. Here are the measurements for cutting the paper. Night of Navy card stock: cut one piece 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and score at 2″ and 6″; Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper: cut 3 pieces (all 3-1/4″ wide): piece (1) 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4″; piece (2) 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″; piece (3) 3-1/4″ x 3-3/4.”
Pretty Pointer: when using a plaid paper. be careful as you cut your pieces to be sure the plaid lines all line up when the project is finished 🙂
The Gold Foil was cut using the largest of the Detailed Bands dies. The left band edge was secured to the top flap with Tear & Tape. Put a few dots of Multipurpose Glue under the left 1/3rd of the oval to secure it to the top flap. The right edge of the band simply folds over the base.
To make the sentiment, use the stamp from the Cup of Christmas stamp set (being discontinued on January 2nd ~ get it while you can) in Night of Navy ink on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock; cut out with the oval die in the Detailed Bands Dies set.
The Detailed Bands Dies are really beautiful. I recently got them myself and LOVE them!
Thank you for stopping by today!
