Spring is here!! Spring calls out for a floral card, so I pulled out some Peony Garden Designer Series Paper and my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to make a spring garden!
The flowers are colored in with Highland Heather and the leaves are Granny Apple Green. The paper itself has so much shading that it doesn’t take much coloring to really bring it to life.
A fun little technique used on this card is paper tearing. I tore the upper right corner to reveal the Purple Posy cardstock. I’m trying to use the retiring In Colors before they are gone, and I have really loved Purple Posy. The sentiment is from the Flowering Blooms stamp set and is also stamped on Purple Posy cardstock. The cardstock is torn all around and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
A tiny bow of White Baker’s Twine is tucked under the edge of the sentiment piece to finish off the card.
The 2019-2021 In Colors Are Retiring Soon
The New Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is being released one month earlier beginning this year ~ on May 4, 2021. That means that the current 2019-2021 In Colors will be retiring and all the products using these colors will be retiring (cardstock, ink, ink refills…). Order these now, as many items are already low on inventory.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
