Today’s card uses a pretty stamp set that will continue on into the next year’s catalog. I’m so happy, because I love the Free as a Bird set. Right now there are so many birds outside! It’s spring and when I walk outside in the morning they are really singing ~ it’s so sweet!
The birds you see here on the branch are all on one stamp. I first stamped in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White cardstock, and then colored in with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. The entire image was fussy cut with Paper Snips Scissors.
The card begins with a Basic White cardstock base. Then a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Balmy Blue cardstock was distressed with Paper Snips and adhered on the card front at an angle. Another piece of Basic White cardstock was cut at 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. After embossing, it was brushed with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink.
The leaves were cut with the Forever Flourishing Dies and tucked under the birds. A bow tied with Linen Thread was also tucked up under the birds.
