This new stamp set has captured my interest, and I really like it! These upside-down daisies are just cute! Actually I found out they are called coneflowers. I challenged myself to “case the catalog,” and chose this card from page 56 of the new Mini Catalog.
Casing means copying. You can copy everything about another card or just certain aspects. This time I copied almost everything. The card base is Soft Succulent cardstock and the next layer is a panel from the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper. It’s been distressed with Paper Snips.
The coneflowers were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and then colored in with Stampin’ Blends. The piece was splattered with a Black Stampin’ Blend using the cap against the brush end to create the splatter. Then the piece was cut with a circle die from the Layering Circle Dies and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One thing I really like about this stamp set is the sentiments and the font. For this card I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it out with a label die from the Pretty Pillow Box Dies.
The Very Vanilla Lace was tied in a bow and adhered with a glue dot; the sentiment was then adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the bow. This was such a fun card to “case.” Why don’t you case a card from the catalog? Give it a try!
