Oh boy, this card was so much fun to make!! I love black and white gingham with red ~ it’s SO festive.
The inspiration for my card is this week’s color challenge from Global Design Project. When I saw these colors I knew they would look gorgeous together.Today’s card uses the Words of Cheer Bundle. This bundle has so many possibilities! In fact, I like it so much I’ve created my October Class to Go using this set! See the details further down in this post 🙂
The card base is Basic Black cardstock cut to 11″ x 4-1/4″ and scored at 5-1/2.” A 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of the black and white gingham paper from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper was adhered to the card base. Real Red cardstock was cut with the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ Scalloped Contour Die, and a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock cut with the 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ Stitched Rectangle Die. These were adhered together with Multipurpose Glue. A piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon was tied in a bow around these pieces and then the entire thing was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the floral arrangement on the card, I stamped the large stamp from the set on Basic White cardstock. The poinsettias were colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends and then cut out with Paper Snips and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaves were all cut with the dies in the bundle and adhered under the flowers with Multipurpose Glue. Matte Black Dots were placed in the center of each of the flowers.
A capital “C” was cut from Real Red cardstock using the “CHEER” word die in the set. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Sahara Sand cardstock using Real Red ink, and then cut in strips using Paper Snips and adhered on the card as shown.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
