Simple flowers, simple card, beautiful color. Today I want to explore the the Pantone Color of the Year for 2022. It is Periwinkle (they are calling it Veri Peri) and I want to see if one of our Stampin’ Up! colors is close to Periwinkle. I think it’s Highland Heather…see what you think. Here’s the color.
It does look like the Pantone color has more blue, but we are pretty close 🙂 And our Highland Heather is beautiful. For today’s card I used it to create the card base and for the flowers.
A piece of Shimmery White cardstock was stamped with a floral stamp from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
The flowers and leaves were lightly watercolored with Highland Heather and Mint Macaron ink using Water Painters.
The piece was then run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched With Whimsy Dies. A small piece of Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon was stapled to the top right corner of the piece and then the piece was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used some of the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper to cover the flap of the card envelope.
What do you think? Our Highland Heather color is pretty close to the Pantone Color isn’t it? And, it”s gorgeous, and very “in” for 2022!! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think?
