Sparkly Pink Winter Christmas Card!

Today’s card is a fun, winter-themed card that was made for this week’s Global Design Team Theme Challenge. The theme graphic shows snowflakes, so I started with little snowflakes in a pink sky! On a piece of Shimmery White cardstock I stamped the snowflakes (a stamp from the Peaceful Deer stamp set) in Versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I watercolored the piece with Polished Pink ink and the largest Water Painter.

A piece of Lovely Layers Vellum paper was placed on top of the watercolored piece. Then I cut some Basic White cardstock with the “snowy hill” die from the Gingerbread House Dies and placed that piece over the other pieces. They were all run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Scalloped Contour Dies.

Some gold Glimmer Paper was cut in a circle with the Layering Circle Dies and then the circle was cut also with the same Scalloped Contour Die so that it fit in the upper left corner. A few trees were cut with from the Glimmer Paper with the Gingerbread House Dies.

The sentiment from the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White cardstock and cut out with Paper Snips. It was then layered over a stem cut with the Splendid Stems Dies. Several die sets were used to create this wintery scene, and I just love the way it turned out!
