A Sweet Cherry Card!

Today’s card is very “sweet”! It’s made using the Sweetest Cherries Bundle, one of the absolutely cutest bundles in the Annual Catalog!! Bundles with punches are some of my favorites, and this has a Cherry Builder Punch.

The sentiment here was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder, on Highland Heather cardstock. Then the sentiment was fussy cut close to the letters.

The inspiration for today’s card is this week’s Global Design Project Color Challenge. These are beautiful colors, and I’ve really enjoyed working with them.

The 8-1/2″ x 11″ Blushing Bride cardstock base is scored at 4-1/4,” and topped with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock. A 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock colored in the center by brushing Blushing Bride ink on with a Blending Brush. Then a Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker was used to add splatter to the piece.

The cherry was stamped in Fresh Freesia ink and punched our with the coordinating punch. The stem was punched from Highland Heather cardstock.

Two little bows were added to the cherry, one on top of the other. First a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon was cut in half lengthwise to create a thin ribbon strip. This was tied in a tiny bow and adhered to the cherry with a Mini Glue Dot. Then another tiny bow of Linen Thread was added on top of the other bow, also with a Mini Glue Dot. The result is a “sweet” card!
