Today’s card is inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Color Challenge. I wouldn’t normally use these colors, but they really look good together and I had fun using them! What do you think?
The card base here is Coastal Cabana cardstock. Then a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped with one of the Decorative Border stamps using Crumb Cake ink. The flowers and leaves have been colored in with Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake ink using a Blender Pen.
Dual-tipped Blender Pens are filled with a specialized solution for easier blending. There is no color in them, but you get a bit of ink on the tip and move it lightly around the paper. I like to use them for delicate coloring.
The sentiment was cut using one of the Amazing Thanks Dies.
The “thanks” sentiment was cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock four different times, and each word was stacked and glued on top of the other one for a 4-layer sentiment. I like it because the sentiment is sturdy and is raised up above the rest of the card.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
