Techniques, techniques, techniques! Today’s I have several techniques to show you. This card is made with the pretty Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper on the front, and an Elegant Border Die is used on the right edge. These dies are new and are part of the just released Online Exclusives.
This is a card with a front that is only Designer Series Paper, in this case the Fancy Flora. How is that done? The Designer Series Paper is going to replace the front of the card. Cut a 5-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of the paper. That’s 1″ more than is needed on the left side. Score it at that 1″ mark and burnish the score line with a Bone Folder.
Cut two pieces of Fresh Freesia cardstock, each 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4.” Place the designer paper on top of one of the pieces with the 1″ fold going behind the cardstock on the left edge. Glue that strip to the back of the cardstock. Then place the other piece of cardstock over the back of the card and glue it down also. This will cover the 1″ strip so that no one knows it’s there! Watch the video below to see exactly how to do it.
The front label is cut from Mint Macaron cardstock using the Natural Prints Dies. The front of this card is so pretty that you don’t need much except a sentiment.
But I have to say that I did tuck in a pretty bow and added an embellishment. You don’t have to do that, but I like to 🙂
