Some cards are just downright fun to make and fun to look at. This card is like that…it’s a FUN CARD! It’s made with the Just My Type Stamp Set. At first glance, all you see in this stamp set is a typewriter. But if you look close, you’ll see lots of darling little stamps!
Look at the rainbow stamp – it’s so cute! And it goes with the sentiment about sunshine and rainbows. This reminds me of the song…”Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, everything that’s wonderful is what I feel when we’re together.” Ok, sorry…enough 🙂
The design for this card is inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge. I created the stripes by watercoloring them!
In the video below you’ll see how to watercolor the stripes used as a background on this card.
The Daffodil Delight ink stripes are watercolored on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper using the widest of the three Water Painters. Leave about 1/4″ space in between stripes. Then stamp the rainbows and flowers over the watercolored paper using Azure Afternoon ink.
The sentiment is stamped on Basic White cardstock and cut with one of the Nested Essentials Dies. Then it is adhered to the watercolored piece – over the Azure Afternoon ribbon – using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
JULY IS COUPON MONTH!
