So I just got this stamp set and I love it! I don’t know why I waited so long, but now that I have it I’m having a blast! Check out the little spools of thread, aren’t they cute?
But I have to say that my favorite items on this card are the scissors. That’s really why I got this set. The die for the scissors is adorable. To create the scissors on this card, use a piece of Silver Foil and cut with the scissors die, then cut another set of scissors using Basic Black cardstock. Trim the black scissors so that you only leave the handles, then glue the handles onto the silver scissors with tiny dots of Multipurpose Glue. Adhere a gray Classic Matte Dot to the center of the scissors for a realistic look 🙂
The background here for the crafty items is a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper that’s been striped with a Water Painter (the largest of the three in the set) and some Lemon Lolly ink.
The spools are so cute. I cut them out twice with the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, once with Crumb Cake cardstock and once with Sweet Sorbet cardstock which I trimmed to fit like thread on the spool. Then I used a Dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blend to draw thread on the Sweet Sorbet cardstock. Glue the Sweet Sorbet part to the spool with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Peggy your card is adorable 😊
I’ve been waiting to get this set too! Your ideas convinced me it’s time to order it now
The matte dot in center of scissors is a great idea
Thanks
Such an adorable card, Peggy. Love the color combination and your coloring of it. Enjoy your day!
Love your card. Paper trimmer cracks me up. I read what you said about cutting spools 2x. There is a die for cutting thread colors, did you miss that? Cuts 2 of a color.
Wonderful card, Peggy! Love how you created the lemon lolly piece. Your colors of black, white, yellow and red look awesome. The added twine with your basket is a neat touch!
Could you share what size are your panels, please?
