This card uses two of my favorite items in the Annual Catalog: the Poised Peony Stamp Set and the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. I do have to say that I have quite a few “favorites” in this catalog 🙂
This is a small slimline card, the Petal Pink cardstock card base is 6″ x 6″ and scored at 3.” The dotted paper on the front of the card is a piece of the Flowering Zinnia Designer Series Paper, it’s the perfect background for this card. Some peonies from the Poised Peony Stamp Set were stamped down the center of this paper in Petal Pink ink. This is such a sweet stamp set. The flower is in three sizes from large down to small, and the sentiments are great. I’m going to be using this set a lot.
Down the center of the front of the card there is a strip of the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper pack comes with three sheets of paper and three sheets of items of pre-die cut leaves and flowers and floral frames. It’s so much fun! You can use these fun items like I have here – to decorate the front of a card!
Some of these fun items were arranged over the strip of paper to create a fun floral cluster. Added into this cluster was a paper butterfly that was colored with Pretty Peacock ink and a Blender Brush. The butterfly was then cut in half and tucked in among the flowers and leavves.
The larger peony was stamped on Basic White cardstock and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. Then it was fussy cut and added to the front of the card, along with the sentiment.
The envelopes I use for these 6″ x 3″ slimline cards are shown on my Amazon Favorites page under the Resources Tab here on my blog. To go to that page, CLICK HERE.
