Prettypapercards Card Bases

What’s the first thing you do when you start to make a card? Create a card base, right? Maybe you call it a “basic card,” or something like that. Whatever you call it, it’s THE CARD – and everything else you do is just decorating the card base. And that’s the part we love!!

Today’s video will show you ways to create four (4) different standard, or basic, card bases. If you are a card maker, you’ll want to have these on hand. And all of them start with an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock ~ any color.

You may wonder how to “score” your card base. I use the Stampin’ Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool. This is a tool I use every day. Not only does it score basic card bases, but it’s great for fancy fold cards. It’s has a metal-tipped stylus and measured grooves that will help your projects come out perfect!
