Sweets & Treats Cupcake Card! (GDP306)

The Sweets & Treats Stamp Set just might be my favorite stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It’s so versatile! Here I’ve only used the adorable little cupcake stamp, but it makes a big statement!

The design for today’s card is from the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge for this week. It’s a great design, very easy to work with. And you can totally express yourself!

The cupcake was heat embossed and then watercolored on Shimmery White cardstock. The layers in the sketch keep building to the center and leading you to focus on the cupcake!

The card base is made with Polished Pink cardstock; the next layer is a piece of the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper. I love how so many of the designer series papers have one side of each sheet with the main pattern, and the back of the same sheet is a wonderful background paper. This background paper is a criss-cross pattern in Mint Macaroon.

The next layer is a piece of Shimmery White cardstock cut with one of the Scalloped Contours dies and then given a watercolor wash in Polished Pink. The last two pieces are lifted on Stampin’ Dimensionals to bring them to your attention.

The adorable bling on top of the cupcake is an In Color Square Gem in Magenta Madness. I think it just makes the perfect little finish to the cupcake!
