Black & White Striped Lots of Happy Card Kit!

Stampin' Up! Lots of Happy - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Hi Friends! Today I want to show you some super-cute cards I made for my team of Sweet Stampers. That’s my team of demonstrators who joined my Stampin’ Up! group. They are amazing demonstrators and I love each one of them! Every so often I send them cards and goodies in the mail, and this month I made their cards using the Lots of Happy Card Kit.

The above video by Stampin’ Up! shows all the adorable elements that make up this kit. It was so nice for me to have all the supplies cut and provided for me in a cute box! There are four different sizes and shapes of card which makes it fun to assemble them!

My two favorite things about this kit are the black and white stripes and the flowers. The combination is so fresh! And you color the flowers in any colors you like! The kit comes with a set of watercolor pencils in some of our prettiest colors. But for my cards today I used some of our Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.

And it’s so much fun to use the elements in the way you prefer. You can follow the instructions exactly, or have some fun creating your own designs!

If you enjoy relaxing when making cards, you will love this kit. Coloring the flowers on the cards is fun and relaxing, just the way I like it.

The stamp set used on today’s cards is a special one only available to demonstrators, called Stamping Your Way to the Top. I love this set because it has cute and sweet sentiments that I like to send to my team!

Magnolia Welcome to the Team!

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane Welcome Card - prettypapercards - stampinup

Today’s card is one I’ve made to welcome a new member to my team of stampers! There are so many wonderful people on my team and it is my pleasure to welcome a new member!

Stampin' Up! Magnolia Lane - Peggy Noe - stampinup

This sentiment is from a special stamp set that demonstrators can order, but of course you could substitute any other sentiment 🙂 Here I’ve heat embossed the sentiment using the new Shimmer Black Emboss Powder. Can you see how it sparkles? The sentiment is punched out with the Everyday Label Punch and set on a piece of Petal Pink card stock cut with a die from the Stitched Nested Label set.

Stampin' Up! Magnolia Lane - prettypapercards - stampinup

Tucked in between the two labels are two magnolia buds stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored lightly with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. The buds were then cut out with the Magnolia Memory Dies. The stamp set and the dies come together in a bundle at 10% off! You can’t beat that!

The base of the card is Whisper White card stock. On that base are two layers: first, a layer of Petal Pink card stock cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″; and then a layer of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper cut at 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8.” The labels are then adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Pals’ July Blog Hop: Mixing It Up!

Welcome to the Pals’ July  Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects that are “Mixing It Up” –  adding texture that will really take your projects up a notch – or two! You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird Scripty Thank You - prettypapercards - stampinup

Today’s card uses my new favorite way to add texture to my cards ~ embossed vellum! When you put a piece of vellum inside an embossing folder and run it through your die machine, it creates a wonderful patterned surface that retains a soft version of the color underneath!

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird Scripty Thank You - Peggy Noe - stampinup

The new Scripty 3D Embossing Folder used on vellum gives just the right texture for this sweet family of birds. The 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of vellum is layered over a same-sized piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and adhered with Multipurpose Glue in the center.

Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird Script - prettypapercards - stampinup

The bird family from the Free as a Bird stamp set was stamped on a 4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. A piece of the – absolutely gorgeous – Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon was tied in a bow around the left side of the paper, and a flagged-end banner was stamped with the “thank you” sentiment.

NEW VIDEO: Let’s Make a Simple Card with Beautiful Friendship!

Stampin' Up! Simple Stampin' Beautiful Friendship - Peggy Noe - stampinup
Today’s card is simple and pretty; mostly because it’s created with a wonderful stamp set! The Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. With a set like this you only need minimal supplies, as the stamps themselves do all the work. Here’s a video showing you how to make today’s card:

Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green ink are so pretty together. You could place the stamps any where on the Whisper White panel. Here they are about 2/3rd’s of the way down the panel and a bit to the left. This allows for a small bow of Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

Stampin' Up! Simple Stampin' Beautiful Friendship - prettypapercards - stampinup

There are so many options with this stamp set, both in images and sentiments. I see some hydrangeas in my card-making future! 🙂

Now for a quick look at the first card on the video, the one created with Melon Mambo ink.

Pretty Pointer: You can get a different look with the use of different colors of inks. When I get a new stamp set, I usually take the time to stamp each stamp on a piece of scratch paper. And, I use different colored inks to test my new stamps.

Beautiful Friendship Meets Poppy Parade!

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Have you seen the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set? It’s full of pretty flowers and sentiments ~ and the stamps are the “DistINKtive” stamps. These are the ones with built-in shading that makes their impressions very realistic.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship - prettypapercards - stampinup

The flowers on today’s card appear to be created with two different colors. But really it’s just the DistINKtive stamp! The flowers were simply inked in Poppy Parade ink. The effect is called photorealistic. Here is a picture of all the pretty stamps in this set:

Also on this card I used my new favorite embossing folder, the Scripty 3D folder. It has a beautiful script that runs across the page
