NEW VIDEO: Create Easy Watercolored Fall Leaves!

Stampin' Up! Tidings All Around Leaves- Peggy Noe - stampinup

Hi there! Today’s card has a pretty watercolored leaf background that is SO EASY to make! You could use this technique for all your fall projects, and you could use different fall colors each time! Watch my video tutorial below and learn how to do it!

You know, I’m calling this leaves, but it’s actually a bundle of wheat and other dried fall crops. If you don’t mind though, I’m going to continue to say leaves 🙂 This gorgeous stamp is part of the brand new Tidings All Around stamp set, available on Sept. 4 when our new Holiday Catalog goes live. So what you’re seeing is a sneak peek!!

And these colors are SO PRETTY together!

The pretty watercolored panel is tied up with Copper Trim and some Leaves Trinkets. You could use anything for the sentiment. Here I used a thank you stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. Do you have this set? It has oodles of small sentiments for every type of occasion. If you don’t have this set, YOU MUST get it. It’s a standard for every stamper.

Sparkly Layered Foil Friend Card!

Stampin' Up! Noble Peacock Foil - Peggy Noe

The foils used on today’s card are so so pretty! The colors are luscious ~ Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, and Pretty Peacock. These foils are very special, and they’re going to look fabulous for the holidays!

Noble Peacock Foil Sheets 149495G
Today’s card begins with a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ square Whisper White card stock base. Add a 4″ x 4″ background of Sparkle Glimmer Paper for the foil leaves to sit on. Don’t the leaves look amazing embossed? That was done with the Nature’s Roots dies. These dies are special because they both emboss and cut the leaves. And the embossing just shines on the foil!

Sometimes it’s hard to adhere things to both the foils and the glimmer paper. I recommend our Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals, that’s what I’ve used on this card.

Stampin' Up! Noble Peacock Foil - Pretty Paper Cards

The sentiment was cut from the Blueberry Bushel Foil using the Well Written Dies. The left and right edges of the word “friend” are adhered to the leaves with 1/2 of a Mini Glue Dot 🙂 It just took a tiny bit of the glue dot to do it. A Noble Peacock Rhinestone acts as the dot on the “i.”

I’m stocking up on these and other foils and glimmer paper for the upcoming holidays! I recommend you do the same thing!

Sneak Peeks from My Fun Weekend!

Card of a red cardinal setting on a table

This past weekend my wonderful team of local Sweet Stampers came over for a get together at my house. We made cards and 3D items, got favors and prizes, we talked and laughed, we exchanged swaps, and we looked at lots of the new products from the new 2019 Holiday Catalog! Oh, and we ate cake and watermelon and strawberries 🙂 (My team members who don’t live locally will be receiving their goodies in the mail!)

My friend and fellow demonstrator, Robin Daus, made some pretty cards to show off a few of the gorgeous new suites in the Holiday Catalog. I thought you might like to see her creations! The cards posted today were all created by Robin.

Fun Candy Corn Card!

Stampin' Up! Candy Corn - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Candy Corn Card

Yippee! Candy corn is in the stores! Truthfully, I don’t like to eat candy corn that much…one or two pieces is enough for me. But, I LOVE to use candy corn for decorating. I know that’s bad. But it’s so bright and fun and it just speaks fall. That’s why I had to make a card with candy corn on it!

Stampin' Up! Fall Candy Card - Peggy Noe - stampinup

To make candy corn out of card stock, punch or cut out with the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies, three circles from about 1″ to 3″ in diameter. Cut the smallest circle out of Whisper White card stock, the medium-sized circle out of Daffodil Delight card stock, and the largest circle out of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Glue them together with Multipurpose Glue with the largest circle on the bottom. Let dry for a few minutes and then begin cutting the circle like a pie – into about 8 triangle pieces. Using your Paper Snips, round the three corners of each triangle and, voila – candy corn!

Stampin' Up! Candy Corn Card - prettypapercards - stampinup

The Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder makes a wonderful background for the candy corn. The sentiment here is a sneak peek of a new stamp set called Tiny Keepsakes and it’s just the right thing for this card! Add a bow made of burlap ribbon on the top candy corn. To create the bow, pull apart the threads of the burlap by carefully cutting off the top thread, then just pulling off the successive threads. Here I used four threads together and tied a bow. Attach it to the candy corn with a Mini Glue Dot.

NEW VIDEO: Quick Tip for Storing Your Baker’s Twine and Linen Thread!

Twine Jar 1

We all want to have pretty craft areas, but not all of us have a craft room with space for all the fancy storage. So let’s create a bit of pretty where we can! Today I have a video for you with a cute idea for storing your baker’s twine and linen thread, no matter where you craft!

It’s easy and fun to keep your twine in a jar with a pretty bow around it! And I really encourage you to use your favorite ribbon to tie it up. It’s good to surround yourself with things that make you happy. When you look at this jar you’ll smile and it will make you happy to sit down and craft!

Twine Jar - Peggy Noe

I like to take my twine off of the cards or plastic spools it comes on, and transfer it to old fashioned wooden clothes pins. It looks so pretty on these clothespins and it’s actually easier to use! I like my twine to have a bit of curl to it, and when you twist it around these clothespins and store it there, it had a gentle curl when you go to use it. This looks really nice on cards and projects. The clothespins I use are the Honey-Can-Do Dry 01381 Traditional Wood Clothespins from Amazon.
