Today I am sending out the first round of my New Catalog Ribbon Shares! I’ve packaged them in clear cellophane bags and, of course, they needed some pretty tags!
I just got the gorgeous new Petal Promenade Suite and had to use it on the tags!
Beautiful Promenade Photopolymer Bundle Item No. 148389 $45
CLICK PICTURE TO ORDER
The Suite has stamps, dies, and beautiful designer series paper, and I tried to use all of it!! 🙂
The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper forms the base of the 2″ tag. It’s backed with a piece of Whisper White card stock, and then punched at the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Then I started layering on pretty things!
The flower was stamped with Berry Burst ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder and cut with one of the dies. Some of the leaves were stamped and die cut, and others were simply die cut. I added some pearls on the flower for bling!
Here is the finished product ~ 40 yards of ribbon for $35 plus $5 mailing. I still have a few spots left in my Second Ribbon Share. If you would like to participate, email me at [email protected] with the words “2018 RIBBON SHARE” in the subject line. For all the details, CLICK HERE.
Tags are fun to make! They’re small and quick 🙂 You can make them simple or fancy, easy or elaborate. In a word, they are FUN!!
Today’s tag is one I’m making for a raffle basket. I’m preparing a – BIG – basket full of wonderful Stampin’ Up! products and handmade cards to be raffled off at a crafting event. And, of course the basket needs a pretty tag and big bow!
The Beautiful Bouquet Bundle makes such a cheerful tag. Some of the flowers were stamped, and some of them were cut out from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper using the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. I’m coordinating the tag with the rest of the basket and I’ve used this designer series paper in some of the items in the basket. I read somewhere that you should try to have a color theme for a gift basket, so I’m using the pink/orange colors in the designer paper and trying to repeat those colors throughout the basket.
The little lace on the bottom of the tag was punched from the designer paper using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. And, I used both Baker’s Twine and Ribbon on the tag 🙂 I’ll show you a picture of the completed basket in a few days. I have some finishing touches to put on it 🙂

Today I started playing with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I can’t believe I haven’t used this set! The flowers are gorgeous, and there are lots of them! This is a photopolymer set with 37 stamps ~ can you believe it?
How do you keep track of 37 photopolymer stamps? Well, I made a video with a little hint to help you! I also have some news about an upcoming trip I’m making. Watch the video to find out!
So now that you’ve got your photopolymer stamps organized, let’s find out how to make this tag!
The tag itself was cut with an adorable tag framelit from the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies. I really LOVE this tag framelit. You can use the tags on gift packages, bags, anything! Actually I made several for some gifts I’m giving 🙂
The “Thank You” sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set. I like the bold font. The tassels are from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit and add just a bit of fun to the tags. Silver Baker’s Twine attaches the tassels to the tag and also gives a pretty way to attach the tag to the gift!
This set also comes with coordinating framelits at a bundle discount! See the bundle in the products section at the bottom of this post 🙂

Welcome to the Pals Feburary 2018 Blog Hop. Our theme this month is “Case the Catty”. The Stampin’ Pretty Pals will copy or remake projects from any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs and brochures. After all, who doesn’t CASE (Copy and Share Everything) once in a while. You may be just starting or hopped over from another Pal. In either case you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
For my project I cased the cover of the Sale-a-Bration Catalog. I love the “for you” tag on the cover and really wanted to learn how to make it!
It’s actually made using the Lots of Lavender stamp set. I was so intrigued with the way the whole lavender bundle was colored in green, I had to figure out how they did it! It took a bit of experimenting but I finally discovered that the lavender flowers were watercolored with Lemon Lime Twist ink and the leaves were watercolored with Emerald Envy ink. I used an aquapainter to apply the color. When the water was dry I fussy cut the bundle with my Paper Snips.
The flowers are from the same stamp set. They are a part of another one of the stamps and the flower was cut out from the center of the stamped image. I stamped and cut three flowers, just like the sample I was casing.
The sentiment is from another Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Happy Wishes. It’s stamped with Bermuda Bay ink, a nice contrast to the other colors used on the tag. Remember, these Sale-a-Bration stamp sets are FREE with your order of $50 or more!
Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on March 14, 2018. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We really like that!
I’d like to show you a few gift tags I’ve been working on. Next weekend I’m teaching some tag classes and these are some designs I’ve come up with.
This tag uses kraft paper as a base, with some Merry Music designer series paper wrapped around it with a bit of a Tea Lace Doily peeking out. A little sponging with Crumb Cake ink gives an antique look. The Gold Foil “love” is die cut using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies. The sweet little ornaments are from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies.
This tag is full of silver and snowflakes and sparkle! It was so much fun to make!

By now you probably know that this is my absolute favorite suite in the Holiday Catalog. I can’t help myself, I keep finding more ways to use it!!
These tags are quick and easy to make. The beautiful sunflower is simply fussy cut from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. The green stripes are also one of the papers from that set. I added a few Garden Green card stock leaves punched out with the Leaf Punch.
My favorite way to make tags is to cut a piece of card stock (in this case, Very Vanilla) and cut it to 2″ x 4.” I slip one end of that piece into the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and it perfectly punches the top of the tag. Boom, you have a tag! The sentiment on these tags is from the Painted Harvest stamp set. I simply stamped it on a 1″ wide piece of Very Vanilla card stock and punched one end with the Triple Banner Punch.
These are going to be darling tied on hostess gifts or little loaves of pumpkin bread. That’s what I have in mind for Thanksgiving…each person will receive a little mini loaf of pumpkin bread with this sweet tag! I’m excited!
