Oh Happy Day! Today’s card makes me so agree with the sentiment! I love this darling birthday cake ~ it’s perfect for any birthday! And, it’s perfect for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I chose the center/middle column: frame – accents – sweets.
So the adorable cake is the “sweet” ~ of course. And the accents are those bling Glitter Enamel Dots around the cake 🙂
This is a window card, meaning that there is an oval window which really shows off the cake. The paper used for the window is one of the Spring Foils papers which is currently FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration!
So what do I mean by MORE FREE ITEMS? Yes, Stampin’ Up! has added MORE FREE ITEMS for the last two weeks of Sale-a-Bration! This is the card I made for the birthday of a guy who rides a motorcycle. I started with a big birthday cake made using the Cake Soiree bundle. I love this big cake, doesn’t it look yummy? To add a little bit of fun frosting to the cake I used some Brights Enamel Shapes along the base of the first layer of the cake 🙂
This card actually uses four different stamp sets: the Cake Soiree set, Happy Birthday Gorgeous (the balloon), Perennial Birthday (the Happy Birthday sentiment), and One Wild Ride for the tire tracks! What, tire tracks? Well, I had to add a few tire tracks for a motorcycle rider!!
I’d love to hear what you think of today’s card. Please leave me a comment!

What IS an eclipse card? It’s also called the hidden words technique. Letters of a word are raised up out of the rest of the card, and the letters look like they are hidden but coming right up out of the paper.
I just got the Large Letter Framelits Dies so of course I had to make an eclipse card! Actually, this was an easy card to make. It’s for a guy, so I used a blue (Dapper Denim) paper with an accent of Lemon Lime Twist. I lined up the letters on the paper and ran it through the Big Shot.
Then I added a handmade envelope because the shape of my card wasn’t standard. Don’t even ask me about the dimensions…I just formed the envelope around the card 🙂 To trim the envelope I used a stamp from the Badges & Banners stamp set and punched it out with the Best Badge Punch.
This was such a fun card to make! FYI, once you cut the letter out of the paper, layer the paper over a piece of a contrasting color. Then place the letters back in their openings, using our Foam Adhesive Strips. That’s it! Easy, right?

Welcome to a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge! This week I am privileged to be the featured designer. Here’s the board I came up with. I put in some of my favorite things…lace, pink, sequins, ribbon…well, everything! 🙂
And because I really like using these elements on my creations, I made my card using every square on the board! Well, I challenged myself.
I think my favorite thing on this card is the sweet little bird. He’s from the Color Me Happy stamp set which will be available, along with the new fabulous Stampin’ Blends, on November 1st! I’ve colored him with the Light Pink Pirouette and the Dark Pink Pirouette Blends. You know, coloring is just plain fun, and using these new alcohol markers makes it REALLY fun! Isn’t he the cutest?
Fresh Fig is a great contrast to Powder Pink so I tried to stick with these two colors, and white. There are a few vellum leaves tucked in there, do you see them? They were punched with the Leaf Punch. I also added one stem of leaves cut using the Flourish Thinlits Dies – these are the lacy looking leaves.
