Vellum adds softness to any card, and today I want to show you a super easy way to do just that! Do you see the vellum on these cards?
It’s layered over a piece of the pretty Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (one of my all-time favorite dsp’s and it’s retiring…booo) to soften it. You can do this on any card to change the look of the card. That’s all you have to do! On today’s card I layered a piece of vellum over the lower portion of the card and cut the vellum to the same size as that lower panel of dsp. Easy!
So is your mind whirling about how you can layer vellum over your cards? I’m excited to know how you’ll do it! Take it from me, it will be SO pretty!
Pretty Pointer: When using vellum, it can be hard to figure out where to put the adhesive. I put mine only on a place that will be covered by something else. On this card I used a bit of Fast Fuse Adhesive at the top center of the vellum. The rest of the vellum panel simply lays on top of the dsp…and it looks great!
Stampin’ Up! has excellent Vellum Card Stock, I love it. It’s thick and looks so nice on my projects. To check it out, click the graphic below 🙂
