I’m back today with a video tutorial on how to make these quick and easy gift boxes! I showed you one of these darling little boxes the other day on the Pals Blog Hop HERE. I’m personally making a bunch of these for my holiday gifts and I was thinking you might like to make some too! Here’s the video:
The foil paper takes this box from ordinary to FABULOUS! Stampin’ Up! has a nice selection of foil papers (gold, silver, copper), but I personally love this Champagne Foil. And when you run the piece on the top of the box through the Big Shot with the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder, it really creates a WOW factor!
In addition to the Champagne Foil Box, I’ve also made another box using Cherry Cobbler card stock and panels made from the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (4 panels 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″). The top of this box is a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ and embossed with the same embossing folder. AND, you can get this embossing folder FREE from me!
Free Embossing Folder!
Place an order for $75 or more in my online store, and use my Monthly Host Code for November QHJE9JVE, and you will receive from me as your FREE GIFT the Stampin’ Up! Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder used in the box above! This embossing folder will add beautiful texture to all your holiday projects! CLICK HERE to learn more!
Have you ever seen mini pizza boxes? I hadn’t…until Stampin’ Up! came out with them! 🙂 This decorated mini pizza box is my interpretation of this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Here’s the Tic Tac Toe Board we are working with:
For my project I used the first column down on the left (ribbon, floral, patterned paper) and the middle row across (floral, yellow, die-cut/punch). I started out working with the items in the first column down, but after I finished my pizza box I realized that the middle row across also applied!
This project has no stamping, did you notice? It’s true! The top of the pizza box is covered with the beautiful Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. And the pretty sunflower is simply cut out of the same paper! Easy, right?
So what do you put in these little cuties? Several Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares would fit, or a few tea bags in their foil packages. But my favorite thing to put in these boxes is a set of little 3 x 3 handmade cards with envelopes. It makes a lovely gift!
Have you ever used the Gift Box Punch Board? Well, if not, this is the best time to try it out! These darling boxes were made with the punch board and they were sure quick and easy!
For this first box I used a 12″ x 12″ sheet of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and followed the instructions on the punch board. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Silk Taffeta ~ scrumptious!
The second box is made with a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. I made it one size smaller than the first box. The instructions are right on the punch board ~ easy! The ribbon here is Natural Trim and it comes with metallic gold thread down the center. I added some Gold Sequin Trim for extra bling!
These boxes open from the top. They have little interlocking tabs that close up nicely.
Here is what the Gift Box Punch Board looks like. All of the box, paper and score line measurements are right on the board front and there is also an instruction sheet included which gives a photo tutorial on how to make a box.
As you think about the upcoming holidays, think about how nice it would be to give your gift in a pretty handmade box! I know my friends are going to be blown away!
