Quick and Easy Halloween Treats!

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn Treat Bags - Peggy Noe - Painted Autumn

Are you looking for a way to make some quick and easy Halloween treat bags? It’s a snap with just a few supplies.

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn Halloween Treats - Peggy Noe - stampinup

Use any treats you like. I love to use candy corn because it’s so colorful. I put the treats in cellophane bags, folded the tops of the bags and stapled them shut. Then I folded one Delicate White Doily on top of each bag and secured it with a decorated clothes pin.

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn Fall Treats - Peggy Noe - Painted Autumn

The cute little pumpkin that is on the doily was fussy cut from a sheet of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and adhered with some Fast Fuse Adhesive. The same paper was also used to decorate the clothes pin, and a bow of Linen Thread was double tied on the pin. Easy, right? See all the products I used in the list at the end.

Favorites for the Blog Hop!

Blog Hop BadgeWelcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day – the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Angie Blake at Angie’s Musings, stop number 33 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

May Hop Best

Some of my REALLY favorite things are retiring, and I’m so happy to be able to use them one last time.  The En Francais background stamp has been a favorite for quite a while.  It’s so pretty behind flowers, and I just love flowers!!  Speaking of flowers, the ones on this card are from a gorgeous set called Fabulous Florets which is also retiring.  The leaves come in the same set.  I’ve fussy cut them for this card to make them really stand out.

May Hop cu

The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials set which I’ve used so many times.  I love the font 🙂  Now, one of my REAL favorites has been the Victoria Lace Trim.  That’s what I’ve used here along with the Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon.  Both of these are retiring and I just saw that the Victoria Lace Trim is already sold out!!!  But, there is good news.  There is a beautiful NEW Venetian Crochet Trim in the new catalog and it will be available June 2nd!!  You know that’s first on my list (hee)!

May Hop 2

And of course what would a retired favorites card be without some of our beautiful retiring 2012-2014 In Colors?  My favorites have been Primrose Petals and Gumball Green.  I’m really a pink girl at heart, so I’ve loved Primrose Petals since it first came out.  And Gumball Green is such an elegant green…

So, those are some of my retiring favorites!  But we have amazing new products to play with beginning June 2nd, and I’ve been showing sneak peeks of some of those fun items, so definitely come back for more!

Thank you for coming along on the blog hop!  The next stop is my friend Patti MacLeith at Papercrafts by Patti, stop number 2 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.

Rustic Christmas

Country Christmas with candle

Christmas is almost here.  I’m just about ready.  All the presents have been purchased, “most” of my cards mailed, and I’m beginning to relax and enjoy the season.  I’ve been reading some Christmas stories, and thinking about Christmas in the woods, in the snow, in the night.  (Mind you, I live in the San Diego suburbs, in a housing development, where the high today was about 80 degrees…)  So I created a card that reminded me of the scene I have in my mind!

Country ChristmasThis card is abstract which is very different for me.  The background is Birch Paper Ribbon from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  I stamped directly on it with the reed-looking stamp from the Love and Sympathy set.  That created the woodsy, snowy look I wanted.

Country Christmas cu star

The silver glimmer star is perfect for the picture I have in my mind 🙂  I added some rays from the star using the Metallic Silver Glimmer Marker to complete my rustic Christmas scene.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Slow down and enjoy your week — if you can!

Pretty Card For a Friend

Trust1Today’s card was made for a friend who is going through a hard time.  I wanted to make her a pretty card with encouraging words.  This stamp is one of my favorite Scriptures, and appropriate for difficult situations.  The stamp set is called Trust God and has 7 great stamps!

TrustenviefrontI wanted to use lots of pretty things for this card, so I started with the gorgeous En Francais stamp as a background.  Squares Collection Framelits were used to create the polaroid-look frame and the Apothecary Accents Framelits were used for the shapes inside the frame.

The Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride card stock add a feminine touch to this card.  The Subtles Candy Dots fill that space at the bottom of the frame and add a little bit of interest!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sweet Pumpkin!

Tful Pumpkin envie

Is this a sweet pumpkin or what?  I think it almost looks like a quilt, don’t you?  I cased this card from Dawn McVey.  I saw her card and fell in love 🙂

Tful Pumpkin.2You will be surprised at how easy this card is to make!  All it takes is some coordinating Designer Series Paper (or any beautiful combination you can think of!) and some oval punches or, as I used, the Ovals Collection Framelits.  Punch or cut out your ovals, overlap them, and there you have your pumpkin!  Put a little stem on, some leaves, and you’re all set.  I added a Tea Lace Doily and some Linen Thread.
