Yesterday I told you that I would show you some other ways to use the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies. Here they are, birthday pillowboxes! Aren’t they nice? I mean, truthfully, they are floral treat holders, but in my mind I’m thinking of gift cards and birthdays! 🙂
Now if you remember, these little cuties are made using dies from the Holiday Catalog, Interesting, right? This just shows you that Stampin’ Up! products are so versatile! These dies are not simply for the holidays, you will use them all year round! The pretty floral paper is the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. This paper comes in a 6×6 pack and is perfect for making one pillowbox!
The squiggly arrows above point out for you two additional dies in this set: the stitched heart and the little strip of hearts. I’m going to use that heart alot! There are 19 (!!!!!) dies in this set! I also highlighted for you the pretty ribbon used on this pillowbox.
Here’s what I’ve been working on this weekend…more holiday pillowboxes!! These are for a craft fair in November. For these I added some gift tags stamped with the Merry Little Labels stamp set and then punched with the coordinating Everyday Label Punch.
My End of October Special!
My favorite stamp set for October is the beautiful Count My Blessings set (shown below). Item No. 144790
Thank you for stopping by today!
When I saw this adorable pillowbox in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog I just knew I had to make it! It’s on page 23 if you want to look 🙂 So, of course I had to order the Wishes All Aglow stamp set for the cute ho-ho-ho lights, and the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies that make the pillowbox.
The pretty olive and black paper is the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. Love Love Love!! The lights are so darling, they just make me smile! I stamped them in Versamark ink and then embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder. Behind the lights are Vellum snowflakes cut out using the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies.
The pillowbox is surprisingly made using these multipurpose thinlits dies. They create a cute stocking that has a pillowbox backing so you can tuck a gift card right in the stocking! Or, you can just make the pillowbox by itself, as I’ve done today.
Here’s a picture from page 15 of the Holiday Catalog, showing what the stocking looks like next to the pillowbox. And there are so many other cute dies in the set!
Come back tomorrow because I’m going to show you some non-holiday pillowboxes to show you the versatility of these dies!
What do think of these cute pillowboxes? I love your comments! Leave me a comment HERE!
Ok, I’m in love! The new Square Pillowbox Thinlits Dies are adorable!!! And they are a snap to put together, really! What would you put in these cute little boxes? Some things you could use it for…gift card, cash, Ghiradelli chocolate squares (dark chocolate and raspberry are my favs!!), what else can you think of?
You run the die twice through the Big Shot because you need one piece for the front of the little box and another for the back. Now, if you look closely below you can see ALL that you get in this die set. There’s a little strip of pumpkins, a strip of trees, and a strip of leaves. Also, look at that cute little candy cane and star!! The squares can make tags or can be used to cut openings in one side of the box to make a little window. Cute, right?
The Happy Haunting DSP is great. The sheet I used has the Tangelo Twist big dots on one side, and the black with little white stars is the other side. The black side works perfectly as an accent strip with the burlap.
I’m so glad that I got my Pillowbox Dies now as I plan to use them all through the holidays. What about you, what will you do with these dies? I would love to hear your ideas!!
