Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Stampin' Up! St Patricks Day Card - Peggy Noe - Stampinup

Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends!! I’m wishing you a “green” weekend! Today’s card is a shamrock made with two beautiful Stampin’ Up! greens: Garden Green and Lemon-Lime Twist! They coordinate beautifully and make this shamrock really pop!

Stampin' Up! Shamrock card - Prettypapercards - stampinup

The shamrock was created from 8 hearts cut from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits Dies (CLICK HERE to order Item No. 141707). Each heart you see is actually a two-layer heart. The lower heart was cut from Garden Green cardstock. The upper heart was stamped in Garden Green ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with a flower heart from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. Then it was cut with the same heart framelit. The upper heart was folded in half and then I put a thin strip of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the back side of the fold and adhered it to the lower heart. Then all four sets of hearts were arranged in the shamrock flower shape and glued onto a Whisper White oval base cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

It can be hard to find a sentiment that actually says “Happy St. Patrick’s Day.” But, Stampin’ Up! has one – yeah! It’s a part of the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (CLICK HERE to order Item No. 127802 for clear stamps, and CLICK HERE to order Item No. 128748 for wood stamps). This set has 24 (24? amazing!) sentiments for all kinds of occasions! This is a set every stamper should have!!

Tickled Pink for You ~ Two Sneak Peeks!

New baby cards are just so much fun to make, aren’t they? For this card I combined three different stamp sets to get what I wanted 🙂

The darling little teddy bear is from the fun Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and coordinating punch. What? Christmas? Well, teddy bears aren’t just for Christmas, they are for babies and children. And I love that a Christmas stamp set and punch can be used year round!

Pretty Pointer: Create your own designer series paper (dsp)! Yes, you can easily do this. For my white watercolored panel here, I stamped a pretty heart from the new Ribbon of Courage stamp set over and over arbitrarily. Then I went back and watercolored over it with an Aqua Pen containing only clear water, blending the images for a bit of an obscured background.

The Blushing Bride panel was dry embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I think it gives the card a sweet look.

The sentiment (which I love!!) is from a new stamp set called Fabulous Flamingos. I can’t wait for you to see the whole set!!

Aren’t you getting excited for the new Annual Catalog to go live June 1st? I know I sure am! If you don’t have a copy of the catalog, just email me at [email protected] and I’ll get one out to you right away!

Sneak Peek: Ribbon of Courage!

This is going to be one of the most popular stamp sets in the new catalog (my prediction!). It’s called Ribbon of Courage and it was designed by $1 million dollar salesperson, Patty Bennett. Today I’m only showing you one of the sentiments in the set, but you’ll be seeing more for sure! This particular sentiment is so nice, it’s actually something I would say to someone, that’s what I love about it.

And, I’ve got more sneak peeks for you!! What do you think about the pretty flowered paper? It’s the new Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack in all the new In Colors! The one I’m using today is Powder Pink. It’s paired with a background panel of Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

Ok, now, for the third sneak peek! Just behind the sentiment circle is a watercolored paper punched with the new…….(wait for it!)….Pretty Punch!  It was just made for pretty paper cards!! I got the Pretty Punch in my preorder and really like the size and the scalloped edges. For the punched piece, I used Watercolor Paper and an Aqua Pen. I brushed water on the paper first and then added three different inks: Sweet Sugarplum, the new Berry Burst, and Flirty Flamingo. I really like the way they blended together.

Are you getting excited about all the goodies in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog? Well I can tell you I’m excited! The catalog goes live on June.
