Calypso Coral ~ such a great color! It’s a pinky orange and blends with everything,, and it’s pretty prominent in this dsp ~ my fave Cupcakes & Carousels 🙂
The nice big sentiment on today’s card is from the Cool Treats set. I love big sentiments! It’s stamped on a fun label which is part of the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit (lots of other cool stuff in the kit-check it out!).
I wanted to put some white splotches on the card, but it didn’t come out quite like I had planned…operator error! I’m going to try to perfect that technique and do it on another card!

Happy Thursday! I’m so excited to show you this week’s colors for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge ~ they are gorgeous!
With Sahara Sand as one of the colors, you can easily age and antique the different elements of the card…perfect for a shabby look! Love, love….
This card was fun to make. I just kept adding pretty things and arranging them! To add a lacy look, I used a piece of embossed vellum over the Night of Navy panel. I also used vellum for the butterfly. It’s first stamped with Mint Macaron and then cut out with one of the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.
To create the lacy flower, some 1″ Mint Macaron Lace Trim (now retired) was pulled up and gathered together in the center. Glue dots were used to adhere the lace in the center.
To see more creations with these beautiful colors, pop over to palspaperarts.com. Better yet, create your own card and upload it over there ~ I’d love to see what you create!

Crisp Cantaloupe is my favorite color right now. It’s soft and warm and oh so pretty! And Stampin’ Up! has some gorgeous designer series papers in this color. For today’s card I pulled in several of such papers and did a little paper tearing for a shabby vintage look!
Have you been seeing birds in all the stores? Everywhere I go it seems they have birds and bird nests…maybe because it’s almost Spring. I added a sweet little bird on my card for a bit of fun 🙂
The beautiful flower in the center was fussy cut from a sheet of the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. It’s such a pretty flower I wanted to make it the focal point of the card.
