Hi there! Welcome! Do you ever need a welcome card? I need them to welcome new members of my Sweet Stampers Team ~ and the Wood Words stamp set has a cute little “welcome” sentiment that’s just perfect!

Because the sentiment is a bit small, I highlighted it and made it look larger by cutting it out with the square Stitched Shapes Framelits and layering it on top of a contrasting color square. This makes the small-sized sentiment look bigger!

So,, as I was working on this card, my little Yorkshire Terrier Elie came to tell me she wanted something (likely dinner). I explained to her that I was finishing up this card for my blog post and asked if she could wait just a bit. She ran away and I was deeply concentrating on this card. When I finished it, I got up to take the photos where I always do, in front of a few sprigs of silk ivy. As I approached the photo area I saw that some ivy had blown off the table onto the floor. I’ve had the fan on because it’s been pretty warm here. As I knelt down to pick up the sprig of ivy, it fell apart in my hand and I saw that the leaves had all come off the stem. Then I saw that the plastic stem was in little bits. Then I looked over — and there was Elie with leaves and sprigs of ivy all around her, just looking at me as if to say – look away, I’m not doing anything!!!

She is so cute! I can’t even tell you how much fun we have together. But I do sure hope that her tummy is ok :-l Think she was hungry??? Back to this card (less a sprig of ivy!!!).
