Sweet Barnyard Babies!

Lamb envie 2

Hi friends!  Hope you are having a nice weekend!  Today I have a little baby card to show you.  I have a sweet friend who is pregnant with her first, and she just found out she’s having a boy.  I just had to celebrate with her by making her this card!

The Barnyard Babies stamp set is so perfect for baby cards.  It has adorable sentiments and cute little animals.  The lamb is my favorite.  It even has a tiny grass stamp!!  Do you see it there?

If you are interested in any of the products highlighted here today, this is the time to order them.  Our Retiring List will be coming out Monday (I will post it here as soon as it comes out!).  If a product you like IS retiring, it may sell out fast.  And, items in the Occasions Catalog are likely not to be continued.  We don’t know yet.  But I want to be sure all of you get the items you want 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today!  I love comments, so please let me know what you think of this little card!

Happy Easter!

Lambs.  The true Easter is about lambs.  One Lamb to be specific, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.  Easter is a precious time for me, and I love to focus on lambs.  So, I make lamb cards!

Happy Easter.cu

Is this little lamb darling or what?  Almost every Easter I bring out my little lamb cards and have classes on how to make them.  When we make them at class, we each make two cards, and guess what happens??  We end up with a FLOCK!!

To make the lambs, you will need a scallop circle die.  Stampin’ Up! doesn’t make these, so I purchased another brand.  That makes your lamb’s body.  You then emboss his body with a flowery or baroque embossing folder.  His wooly head is punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and embossed with the same embossing folder.  A little sponging with Crumb Cake ink makes his wool look a bit more realistic 🙂

Happy Easter.1

His face and ears are punched with a small oval punch and I added little google eyes (SO cute!).  Tie a little knot or bow from any thin ribbon and adhere to his top knot.  It’s an easy and fun little card to make.  I love to display my card around the house as it reminds me of the TRUE Easter.  God bless you!

Sweet Little Lamb!

Lamb 2

This little lamb is SO cute!  I’m just crazy about him (or her)!  Look at that sweet expression 🙂  Is this perfect for a baby card or what?

The new stamp set called Barnyard Babies has some adorable little animals in it but I’m partial to the lamb.  And I love the sentiment!  I know a young couple who just had a baby boy and this card is going straight to them.

Here are all the darling little animals in the set:

Which one is your favorite?  Goodness, I really like those little ducks, too!

Bright Baby Boy!

BlueBaby 2

Bright colors today for a baby boy card!  There is a brand new baby boy in my extended family and he needs a welcome card!  I’m so excited ~ on the inside of this card I might write “Welcome To The World!”

The little giraffe and elephant are SO cute, just perfect for a little boy card right?  The color I used is Pacific Point.  I don’t use bright blue very often, but I like it here.  It’s bright and babies are attracted to bright colors.

BlueBaby 2A few retiring items are making an appearance on this card…the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (which is so perfect for baby cards) is retiring.  This has been a classic for me.  I’m sad to see it go 🙁  And the sentiment stamp is from the retiring set called “Baby, We’ve Grown.”  This is a really great baby stamp set.  I think both of these things are still available on the Retiring List, so if you want them, pop on over to my store and get them right away before they sell out!

And don’t forget about the envelope!  Isn’t that bright red elephant adorable on the envelope?  The animal stamps are from the set called “Zoo Babies” and it is NOT retiring.  Love it!

A dear friend of mine just had her first grand baby and I wanted to make her a ~special~ card!  It’s a little girl so the card definitely needs lace and ribbon and flowers, right?

I love to make bows that have long “tails.”  I loop the ribbon up over my finger and then stick it down just past the loop using glue dots.

The main color for this card is Crisp Cantaloupe.  It’s really a soft peachy color, but in some lights it can look pink ~ a perfect modern choice for a little girl baby 🙂
