Stampin' Up! Accented Blooms - Peggy Noe - stampinup

You can use any coloring method you choose, but for my card today I used our alcohol markers, Stampin’ Blends. It was easy and fun to color in the flowers and leaves. In fact, it’s actually relaxing. That’s what I love about stamping and coloring, they both take your mind off everything else. You may be worried about something or have lots of things going on, but as soon as you sit down to play with paper and ink your mind is taken off everything else and you are enjoying yourself!

Accented Blooms Clear or Wood-Mount Stamp Set
Clear: Item No. 146681  Wood: Item No. 146678

Card Instructions: The large stamp in the set was inked wth Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card stock cut to 5″ x 3-3/4″. The flowers were colored in with the Stampin’ Blends shown above. A scrap of Whisper White card stock was stamped with just the top left corner of the big stamp, just enough to get the two mums (I think that’s what they are) stamped. I then colored the mums in with the Daffodil Delight Light Stampin’ Blend and fussy cut the two mums. I superimposed them over the mums already stamped on the large panel and adhered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This gives some depth to the flowers. The sentiment was then stamped directly onto the panel in the beautiful new Lovely Lipstick ink.

Now for the most fun part!! Have you ever discovered an absolutely darling little stamp that you hadn’t seen before? Well, I was looking at all the stamps in this new set and I discovered this sweet little vine-like stamp…and I fell in love!! Oh my gosh it’s SO CUTE!! I had to use it right away on this very card! It is SO easy to stamp repeatedly and join the edges together. Creating a border on this card was a snap! Here is the cute little thing:

Isn’t it darling? You might think that it would be hard to connect the edges as you stamp on the paper, but it wasn’t at all! And I love the results! I’m going to be using it as a border stamp a lot!!
