Hi friends ~ thanks for stopping by! I am always thinking of you…so today’s card is just perfect!! Truthfully, I do think about you and I’m so thankful for you, my blog readers!
Today’s card is a copy of one featured in my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator magazine. I love getting this magazine, it has great ideas and samples. I saw a card with these soft colors and just had to try to create one of my own! Some of these colors are new and I hadn’t seen them combined quite like this before. It always surprises me what a difference color makes on any project.

The featured new colors here are Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove. Petal Pink is the soft pink that forms the card base. And the flower is a two-step stamp that uses both of the new colors. I just can’t get over how pretty they look together! Behind the flower are three rectangular pieces of card stock forming a square. Each is stamped with a texture stamp (from the Timeless Textures stamp set) using Petal Pink ink.

The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink and punched out with the Leaf Punch. I punched three sets of leaves and layered them under the flower. Do you combine stamps from different sets to create a card? Today’s card uses three different sets-they are all shown below.

What do YOU think of these colors? LEAVE ME A COMMENT HERE and let me know what you think, I’d love to know! And, if you would like to copy this card the way I did, please feel free! All the supplies are shown below 🙂

This is one of those cards that every once in awhile catch the eye and thinks “oh so soft looking and elegant”. Bingo! You covered all bases on this one. I agree diff. colors and stamps combined can may a whole new look.
So beautiful!
beautiful, Peggy! I love any of your posts.
Thank you for the inspiration Peggy! I have been in a rut this week. This card made me get some of my retired DSP to use as background behind flower. Simple but pretty.
Gorgeous card.
I really like the 3 panels behind the flower.
Great card. I think Grapefruit Grove is going to be one of my favorite colors. Love the color combination.
Linda,
Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog today! I so appreciate comments!
Yes, Grapefruit Grove is so pretty, but I think my favorite is Pineapple Punch. I love the bright yellow 🙂
Thanks again!
Oh what a pretty and soft color combo. What are the dimensions of card AND the 3 rectangular strip?
This card has been on my mind, and I want to say thank you for sharing the colors and directions. I just purchased a Painted Harvest yesterday (the one-day stamp sale!) and this is the first card I want to make with my new stamp set. So stunning! Thanks, Peggy! ❤️
