The stamp with the string of lights is amazingly easy to stamp. I didn’t think I could stamp it straight all the way down the card, but it really worked. Even without using the Stamparatus it was easy. And coloring in these festive strings of lights is fun! I used Stampin’ Blends in four different colors. One of the colors is the same as the card base and the tree, so the colors on the card coordinate beautifully!
The 3-D tree was cut with the In the Woods Framelit Dies. I think this is such a wonderful die, I love the way you can pop up the branches 🙂
And what do you think of the cute bulb on the top of the tree? You can’t see it very well but there’s a star inside the bulb. And with the punch you can punch out the bulb separately from the little top knot electrical thingy (??). What DO you call that part anyway? If you know the name of that thing, leave me a comment. 🙂 Well, I punched this one out of Gold Glimmer Paper to give it some sparkle!
To create the sentiment, I simply stamped it on a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of Whisper White card stock and snipped each word apart with my Paper Snips.
Here’s a quick peek of how I went crazy on the inside of the card – ha! I love the stamp at the bottom end of the light bulbs — a shine stamp? It’s super cute. These bulbs should bring a smile to anyone who opens this card!
