Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by today! This card was created for the Global Design Project Color Challenge, and the colors we are using this week are so pretty together!
The Botanical Bliss stamp set is one of my favorites in the annual catalog. I love the flowers and the sentiments, and the leaves 🙂 I thought it would look great with these colors.
The flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo ink and then colored in with a Blender Pen. A Blender Pen has a bit of alcohol in the tip and after you press it on the ink pad to obtain some ink, you can apply more or less to your project. This allows you to create a darker or lighter look, as I have on the flowers below.
The background behind the flowers is a piece of How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper underneath a piece of Vellum. I love the softness of the vellum 🙂
The “friend” sentiment was stamped over and over across a 1″ strip of Whisper White card stock using Coastal Cabana ink. Then a little piece of white baker’s twine was tied around the strip.

Another wonderful card, Peggy, and I learned something new from reading your blog post today. I didn’t realize that blender pens *blend* because of the alcohol in the tip… that makes perfect sense, now! I enjoy following your work because you are so talented and because I find inspiration each time… thank you! ❤️
I didn’t know that for a long time either, Patricia 🙂 Thank you my friend!
A beautiful card! It could be replicated using any flower one chooses. I love the sentiment stamped multiple times. Thank you!
Oh thank you Shirley! So appreciate you stopping by!
LOVE YOUR CARD! Sadly this is a set that I do not have….!!!!!
Oh really? It’s one of my favorites in the annual catalog Carol. Maybe put it on your list???
I’m so excited…I have this set!! of course, hope you don’t mind if I case this card.
Not at all Susan! I’d be flattered!
