Hand-Penned Thinking of You (GDP293)

Today’s card was made for a color challenge over at the Global Design Project! These colors are all new In Colors and I’ve never used these three colors together, so I decided to give it a try!

The card base of Pale Papaya cardstock was topped with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock adhered at an angle. Then taking a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock, I laid a polka-dotted Decorative Mask over the upper-right side and used a Blending Brush to blend on Evening Evergreen ink. The piece was adhered to the card at the opposite angle.

Pale Papaya cardstock was cut with one of the larger floral dies from the Penned Flower Die Set. I used the die cut piece as a mask over a scrap of Basic White cardstock and blended on Pale Papaya ink with a Blending Brush. This colored the Pale Papaya piece as well as the white piece below. I fussy cut one of the blended flowers from the white piece and reserved it for later.

Some Evening Evergreen Sheer Ribbon was cut lengthwise down the center and laid on the card front. The floral die-cut piece was adhered over the ribbon with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The reserved flower was laid over the die cut and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A tiny bow of the ribbon was adhered with a Glue Dot. The sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp set was added on the lower-right corner.
