Have you ever made your own paper ribbon? It’s easy! I’ve used it on today’s card and I have a Pretty Quick Tip Video to show you how to make your own! The paper used to make the ribbon is the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, and it’s ON SALE beginning today for 15% OFF! Yippee!
This card has a watercolored background. The 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock was watercolored with Misty Moonlight ink, using our Water Painters. I used the largest brush end of the Water Painters to create vertical columns. My card was designed based on this week’s Global Design Project Sketch:
After watercoloring the columns, I splattered some of the ink onto the card by tapping the Water Painter as I held it over the paper.
A small strip of scallops was cut with the Penned Flowers Dies and adhered to the Pansy Petals paper using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then the ribbon piece was adhered to the front of the card with the same adhesive.
The sweet sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and it was stamped on a 1/2″ strip of Pale Papaya cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink and attached to the top of the paper ribbon, again with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
