This is a fun card we made Saturday at our World Cardmaking Day Class! Our goal was to make cards that we could send right away – this week – to bless and encourage others. I like the Love of Leaves stamp set because it has beautiful fall leaves and nice sentiments.
The leaves were sponged with Sponge Daubers to create the multi-colored look. Add ink to the stamps using a separate Sponge Dauber for each color. Here I used Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry inks. Different leaf stamps were stamped arbitrarily on a piece of 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White Cardstock.
I added some dots with a dot stamp I had. (I usually save out my dot stamps from different sets so that I have them ready when I want them!) Then the piece of cardstock was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (love!), and adhered on a piece of Mango Melody cardstock and then on the card front.
The sentiment was stamped and cut with the Tailor-Made Tag Dies and a larger tag was added in Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Some Linen Thread holds the tags together and was tied in a bow on the front. Don’t you think this is a nice card to send during the fall months?
My Host Code gift this month is a package of these pretty gift boxes from Stampin’ Up! You can decorate them any way you like!
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
