I love cards that use the sentiment “Joy.” Joy is something I want, and I want joy for you too! Joy is a theme of Christmas…it’s just a fabulous sentiment for this time of year. In the Whimsical Trees stamp set there is a tiny little stamp with the word “joy” on it, and it’s perfect to add to any Christmas card design.
Today’s card was created for this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge. The challenge graphic showed a tiny Christmas tree, so I used a tiny Christmas tree 🙂
This card uses a Polished Pink Ombre Gift Bag as the background for the tree and the gifts. The gifts were fussy cut from the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.
Behind the tree and the gifts is some Metallic Mesh Ribbon. I glued together the gifts and adhered them on top of the mesh with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then the sweet little tree was adhered over the gifts. The sentiment was stamped in Real Red ink on a 1/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock. A flagged end was snipped on the right end and the strip was tucked up under the tree. Some silver trim was tied in a bow and also tucked up under the tree and adhered with some Mini Glue Dots.
To finish off the card, some splatter dots were stamped in Real Red ink.You know that I save splatter dot stamps from various stamp sets. This is one of my saved stamps 🙂 A few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for bling.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stamping!
