It’s almost Spring, and today’s card is a bright Spring birthday card that’s also a fun fold! This card is made using the Delicate Desert Bundle by Stampin’ Up! The large flower in this set is what attracted me to it – it is gorgeous!
And the dies are different and fun. The large rectangular dies have so much detail, and there’s a thin strip die that I’ve used twice on this card – very interesting and fun.
The colors on this card are Parakeet Party and Fresh Freesia. I think they really compliment each other and give such a light spring-y feel.
Here’s a replay of the Facebook Live showing you exactly how to cut this fun-fold card on your Paper Trimmer.
So this is what’s called a dutch-door card. The lower half of the front of the card opens as normal, but there is no top front. Here are the measurements for you:
Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Lower “door” portion: 3″ x 4-1/4″
Designer Series Paper on front of the lower door: 4″ x 2-3/4″
Designer Series Paper on the top inside of the card: 4″ x 2-1/2″
Basic White cardstock on lower inside of card: 4″ x 2-3/4″
Basic White piece behind the flowers: 3-1/2″ x 2-1/4″
The ribbon used here is White Seam Binding Ribbon that has been colored with a Fresh Freesia Blender Pen and then left to dry before use.
